I am looking to have a motherboard mini atx with four pci slots for four nvidia 5870 graphic cards with quad core processor. how many mega-hashes can i get per second with this setup? Also what if i want to set up a system to surpass the mega-hash? Looking to get about 16 video cards full blown at a single time. Roughly about 4-5 computers.

Umm, can't tell if you're trolling or just have absolutely no idea about computer hardware. You say in your previous posts that you have the 'video cards down' yet you think nvidia makes the 5870 which they don't. A simple google search would show that a mini-atx board isn't commonly made though the form factor exists. They make a micro-atx and a mini-itx, neither of which are big enough for 4 graphics card slots.

sorry if I sounded like an idiot. But I was just trying to figure out a way to actually get started with the mining. I wanted to know what would benefit me the most for bitcoin mining if money was not an issue.

Get a motherboard with 3 pci-x 16x or 8x slots, most modern atx-sized board will have 2 or 3 slots. Get 2 or 3 ati 5850 or ati 5870 or 5970 cards or the 69xx, cpu speed doesn't matter neither does ram or hard drive as long as they work. Cooling will be an issue so be prepared to just have two cards. Setup and run.

I'm sure you meant PCI-Express (PCIe) and not PCI-X which is different. Don't confuse him more. Smiley

You should start by posting on the right board. In case it's not clear, I'll give you a hand - it's called "Mining"

What method is best to use for cooling? 4-5 fans around the GPUs are fine?

You are better off asking in the mining sub-forum Wink
