What is the purpose of FurPay?

The main purpose of FurPay is to introduce cryptocurrency to a new community with the hope it will be a useful and fun service. Our team includes members of the community, which makes the community a good choice to offer a new cryptocurrenty service for us. We are going into this full steam ahead and if successful hope to work with the Bitcoin community to establish other altcoins targeted and marketed towards other online communities to encourage widespread use.

But why Furries? Because we are awesome.

Although you may choose to make fun of them and I suspect I'll receive a few troll posts below, the community was chosen because of real life ties and because it is not that far removed from the current batch of altcoins, that is coins based on a popular meme such as Dogecoin or cute imagery like most of the coins out there already.

How can I get involved?

To realize our goal we need your help! This is a community project and we welcome all positive ideas, suggestions and involvement. We currently need and will provide bounties after FurryCoin launches for the following:

    Lead launch mining pool
    Currency exchange
    Launch mining pools
    Additional developers
Artists/graphic designers - create a new logo, buttons or the coin design!

We would also like to extend the bounty offer to anyone in the community who creates something fun and exciting using FurryCoins, such as faucets, games and other cool stuff. We will also provide you with a link from our website to help spread the word and FurryCoin to help kickstart the initial funding of your project once we approve it.

Is the coin technically innovative in any way, or is it just an altcoin for pet lovers?

I have recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. Cryptographic proof that my account has not been compromised is available.

Its still in development. But yes. Its going to be a bitcoin fork. So coin wise it will be normal. It is going to also include a social networking system for the furry community.

Also, if you have any ideas on where you would like to see FurPay go. Please let us know.

This all seems OK but I feel it should be posted in the altcoin sections more so you do not include the community in your list of people to reward when you finally lunch your coin.

Fur is murder

Seeing such innocence is really touching. I didn't think it was possible for someone to be on the internet and not know what furries are. I would say google it, but some things you can't unsee. Smiley
