I've been here for about a year ( I've lost my other account) and I noticed people here get to have a + reputation whenever they participate and complete a trade or any lending or payment transactions.
Now I am wondering if there is any other way to build a reputation here besides participating any transactions?

technically, you can get "+ reputation" for doing anything.

first one got a positive for recommending a music, the later got it through contribution.

Contributing to the community by posting useful things and actively contributing in discussions, helping to weed out scammers. IMO, if the person only tries to gain positive trust and don't contribute anything, it is as well as being neutral. Most trust rating aren't fair as the amount wasn't actually risked. It is up to the person to judge by himself.

I agree with that. I was just guessing how because you see people don't trust you in here if you don't have enough built reputation unless the person you are talking to is somone you know in real life. I think it will be much easier to move in this forum if everyone will see you as a good member with a + reputation than roaming around with no reputation. People don't trust easily.

I see. Well I was wondering how to get those default trust ( I'm not sure if that's what it's called) the trust given by a trustable member here without doing any transactions.

Trust list can easily be changed so the trust rating would also change. The trust isn't a big thing and it should only be regarded as a reference. There are cases where trusted members scam. If you are going to trade something and the other party do not trust you, use escrow.

You need people from the default trust list, depth 1 to add your username and you would have the ability to appear at the trusted feedback provided that the person adds default trust to his trust list and uses depth 2.

Actually, it is not +reputation. It is +trust.
You cannot gain/build trust per definition. Trust is earned over a long period of time showing that you can be trusted.

It is a little like the chicken and the egg paradox, nobody will trust you if you have 0 trust.
But eventually people will trust you based on your post history and generel behavious.
If you are just a spammer or try to buy trust, then will you actually do more harm than good.

You can earn your trust if you had many dialogs with other trusted members and they reconize that you have a mind set that is unlikely to be a scammer.
