I was thinking about this question, so I decided to search the forum to see if it had been asked in a topic within Bitcoin Discussion before. I managed to find this topic, posted in February 2013: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=146018.0Bitcoin was sitting around $25 then around that point and continuing to rise. So what is the most expensive thing you have purchased using Bitcoin?Let's not consider trade amounts, I'm thinking more like tangible items or services.

A laptop. Worth $899 from my hard earned bitcoins. I was so happy after I received it on my doorsteps. I'm using it now as i type I've been wanting to purchase something like this with the spoils of my trading for a while now, however I aren't convinced by the range of options available to allow me to do this. I'm aware of a few services that would allow me to change coins into gift cards, however I aren't so sure on how trustworthy/reliable they are. It must be pretty satisfying to receive something tangible with real use in exchange for something that only a few years ago was considered 'worthless Internet money'.

It's always satisfying to see something you want and bought it with your hard-earned money (bitcoin). Honestly, I count myself as one of the crowd who said that but I take it back then. I may have lost the opportunity to be a pioneer of bitcoin but I had my fair share.

I didn't have too much expencive things bought directly with bitcoin, but the most valuable one time purchase was ~1000 EUR of mining equipment that i ordered from UK. Sadly, to this day i still regret that purchase, since i only reached ~110% ROI, but lost way too much time and patience with it.

I haven't really spent any big amounts just on small things. I'd prefer to keep most of my bitcoins as an investment at the moment. I'll spend them in the future though just not yet. Would be cool to buy a nice tv or hi-fi. A new e-bike for about 10.68 BTC

What the heck is an e-bike? An 'electric bike', like a bike where you still have to cycle / pedal yourself, but it accelerates. So you either have to put in less effort to get the same speed, or you go faster with the same effort you'd use on a normal bike. It's not like a motorcycle or scooter where you don't have to do anything. If you don't do anything, the e-bike doesn't do anything either. You could also see it as a bicycle, still driven on human power, but with mechanical acceleration. It doesn't go extremely fast though, but it's still faster (and more convenient) than regular bikes.

Yes I've also seen it on discovery. I think that it will be very useful in hiking and off road purposes. In daily life I'm damn happy with my retro bicycle.

I guess only direct buys count. Not when i took bitcoins, exchanged them to cash and bought something with that?
If so then the biggest buy i made was some notebook parts i needed. SSD-Disc and so on. I bought them through someone who ordered it for me so i bought in bitcoin. I believe the amount was something around $340.

The only thing I ever bought, and probably the only thing I ever will have bought with bitcoin was some silver coins from Provident Metals. After that I started thinking that it's crazy to just spend bitcoin like it was fiat. I don't see it that way. I've come to view it as being very much like the silver that I bought--which, by the way, was only about $200 worth I think.

With bitcoin i bought an android cellphone which cost about $200. It's been 2 years since i bought it and now still functioning and currently using it. Not big though compared to the othere replies here but i cherish the item because it was the first item i bought with bitcoin. I wish the next item i can buy is a set of personal computer.

mmmm no no i never purchase any expensive thing using bitcoin. even i never purchase a cheap one. reason is that i have no idea that in my area there is such a shop or store where i can buy anything using bitcoin. may not a single shop or store accept bitcoin here in my area, i have no idea how to purchase stuff from other countries online. but i am hopeful that a time will come when i will use bitcoin in my area as a flat currency.

I think the most expensive thinig I have purchased using Bitcoin is the Button Pin Maker LOL. I bought it at around 0.75 BTC when BTC is around $250. At this moment i was like, I should have waited another year because I could have bought a Computer, Printer and that Button Pin maker with that amount
