Hello, i tried Bitcoining the first time and i am totally new in this forum.
With the german energy price mining is only interesting to be used with my "sleeping" hardware.
Most of the time i didn't do hardwareintensive things on my PC. What i notices is that With my 6870 Card i have a idle consumption of 166W (Card underclocked and undervoltet) with a Mining of 100Mhash/s its only 9-10W more.
So the calculation looks good for me.
The Problem is, that the GPU gets unworkable slow on my pc (even a youtubevideo is not a joy). Is there a posibility to save up 10% of GPU power for the Windows VI?

Greetings from Berlin, Stefan

increase your framesleep and decrease aggression values. those determine how often new work is pushed into the GPU. If you have a higher framesleep and a lower aggression, the miner will put work into the gpu less frequently, which means that it's less busy for other things it should do(like display a video signal and stuff).
