I dont think its still valid to advertise micro payments, but yes the best way to learn about bitcoin is to ask someone that is able to explain it simple.

I don't think this is that great to introduce people to bitcoin. Doesn't really cover much that the average person wants to know. THere's plenty of other better short videos on youtube.

Cute video. I probably wouldn't use it as an introduction though. If I knew nothing about Bitcoin I don't think I'd have a clear idea of what it is after watching this video. I like it though.

Nothing special and it isn't that clear. The video listed on Bitcoin.org is much better. It's simplified, short and clearly understandable.
Explaining Bitcoin to someone who has no idea about it or some tech skills might not be as simple as it seems.  I've been thinking about it recently, and could not find a correct wait to quickly explain it. We could be talking about Bitcoin for hours at least.

Agreed. To get a newb interested you need something short and snappy. Sadly most people don't have the attention spans for anything longer than 5 minutes so they probably wont watch anything longer unless they're actually already interested in bitcoin.

there is one thing called going forward in the video, you don't need to watch it all, you can watch small portion to get the most important part of it, or simply follow the images, like i'm doing with basically any long video

Isn't this video supossed to be pay-per-view? I think it will be taken down from there soon.
Anayway, that video is cool but probably too dense for a total newbie. A total clueless person may need something way shorter because unfortunately we live on an attention deficit disorder plagues society, so you cant ask for people to pay attention for 60 minutes for some alien concept like Bitcoin is.

That video is a very old one! No, regular bitcoiners don't mine but i mean that video gives an idea of how bitcoin started and worked in the past...and when you understand how it started and worked in the past, you'll understand how it will work in the present! That video is a simple one and explains bitcoin to you like you are 5

i think that a short 5 minute video is great to give someone as a first vid to tempt them away from the corrupt fiat system.. but then instead of going to forums and having a million questions.. there are now a few movie length documentaries that explain the whole fiat vs bitcoin thing.

im watching "Bitcoin The End of Money as We Know It 2015" and its informative without going into geekspeak

and yes i been around for years and know all the ins and outs, but its always great to look for new material that will help others learn
