Hello. I'm trying to figure out how to do pool mining and solo mining at the same time.

Also with solo mining, what is the normal amount of time does it take for someone to complete a block?

Point one miner to a pool and another miner to your local bitcoin client.

What is the normal amount of hashrate?
For a single GPU at ~400MH/s and current difficulty of 2864141 it would take about 1year on average to solve a block,
at 1GH/s it would take about 142days average and at 5GH/s it would still need about 1month.

Keep in mind that within those days/months/years the difficulty will probably rise.
