I keep reading contradicting reports as to the legal sale of tritium. I want a tiny amount to make glow in the dark sights for my AR-15. I don't want to break the law or anything. Does any one have a tritium keychain or something?

I have a few Tritium Sights, its legal to own in the USA right now. Its under control of the NRC and its export outside the USA from Inside the USA is controlled. But there are a few companies that manufacture outside the USA. I'm trying to verify local state laws regarding ownership(I heard rumors they are illegal in CA).

Just because you could make a thermonuclear device with Tritium in VERY large quantities its regulated.

Alot of people are switching to glow-in-dark paint instead.(I prefer Tritium )

Thanks Q.
I have tritium sights on my CC gun and love um. It seems like if you would ever need your gun that it is more likely to be at night.
If tritium is illegal and I can't do a glowing mod I may use silver paint. It works well in low light on my AK. When your sight picture is dark you see the front post lit up.
