Who the hell is the Bitcoin CEO and what blockchain in particular? Blockchain.info or the block chain ledger?

I hear even long time bitcoiners talk about "a glitch in blockchain" or "blockchain down". Noobs or moron Jounalists or even new investors might misunderstand it.

Well, he has 307 activity on a Sr Member account, I would hope that he doesn't think Bitcoin has an actual CEO at this point. I think some people here still think Satoshi is the CEO of Bitcoin or something along the lines.

If it had one I would expect a Bitcoin CEO to have a legendary account here. Mark Karples was only a senior member. Surprisingly though his MagicalTux account here was last active on July 30, 2015 which is quite close to the time of his arrest. I can't think why he logged in unless he wanted to check his emails. He could have browsed the forum without anyone knowing if he didn't log in.

AFAIK, this account was hacked after BitcoinTalk DB was stolen. Check the trust left by TomatoCage.

I sure hope he doesn't think like that haha Smiley He was just referring that when this reaches mainstream media they're going to make a fuss and write terrible things...

As for Mark's account, I probably bet it is really him in control. He doesn't really care... He doesn't mind being seen online.

I had forgotten about that. Now I remember all the posts by Mt.Gox Support immediately after the forum re-opened. He must have used a very weak password for that account, and probably the MagicalTux account too. If MagicalTux shows any activity from now on it's definitely been hacked.

Another possibility could be that his former accounts were turned over to the Japanese authorities for investigative purposes?

The subject of this topic doesn't make sense...have you ever heard of a "Dollar CEO" or a "Euro CEO" or a "Yuan CEO"?

If only the people that need to learn this could be here reading it...

I have been working on my Neighbor for quite some time now, to get into Bitcoin. He started to see the concept and he also saw the opportunities and the potential.

Then this arrest made headlines in the media again, and he came running to me, saying ..." Bitcoin is a huge scam... The CEO was just arrested. "  Huh Roll Eyes Huh

It took me a hour, to explain to him, who Mark was and how he fits into the great scheme of things. I also explained to him, what influence the MtGox fiasco had, on the current regulation of exchanges.

These scandals and misinformation from the media, are hurting Bitcoin so much more than what we might be thinking. If MtGox was prevented, we would have been in a much better place now.

I hate regulation of these exchanges, but I can see why some countries and some people need them. Consumer protection is a huge concern out there.  Huh

this will be blown up to make btc look like a joke.

I think with the news that IBM is working on blockchain tech, you will see more and more attacks on btc, so as to make the new competing tech look even better and more secure (which it probably will be).
