You are correct, we'll try explain it better:
If the streamer is referred by you you get 2.5% of the tip, and if the visitor is too you get another 2.5% of the tip. Adding from both sides.
1 mBTC tip => 0.025 BTC(2.5%) to user referral + 0.025 BTC(2.5%) to streamer referral =
0.05 BTC (2.5%) if you are both the user referral and the streamer referral.
