Stand Alone PC , Mac , Linux BitcoinTalk Application

Hello guys,

I am about to create a stand alone application to browse through BitcoinTalk forum.

So i do not have to open google chrome for example to browse BitcoinTalk forum.
It will be an application only for this forum.

Does this sound good to you?

Would you use it?

If yes i could make it in the next few days.

I created a stand alone programs which is used spesifically for the Bitcoin Talk forum. No google chrome or any other browser is needed.
Here is a screenshot of the program.

yes indeed this would be really great specially if someone is out and wants to check ASAP , so they can just go straight to the app for using it , by the way if you have created some other apps like this could you post it so we could check them out , good luck

I'm not really sure if i will use your application, because it's not efficient, i usually browse other site/site related bitcoin. So if i only can open this forum, this not my style haha.

I have created 2 other Stand Alone but currently, i do not want to share it. Maybe in the future.

To install the Bitcoin Talk Application
1. Run setup
2. Open the BitcoinTalk Appication from the Start Menu
3. To Unistall, simply go to Control Panel / Programs , find the program and unistall it.

I don't know. Using this sounds like a risk. I mean i would reveal my private messages and all to the author since it would be possible that these details got leaked.

By the way... i don't see the usecase yet. There are browsers on normal pc's as well as on smartphones. So why using that app?

One less tab in Chrome? I'll stick to the way that works fine

If you're going to have quick options at the top, then rather remove them from the bar.

Sorry for the harsh criticism but I do not see the point to this, it should have extra functionality if you're going to have a desktop app. I could just create a url shortcut and open it there for quick and easy access.

My advice to you,
                               add an offline cache
                               allow for customization of the current theme
                               Look and use some of the functions used in jackjack's bitcointalk+ script

It lacks security that a web browser would have. Just one of the many reasons not to use this.

However, i abandoned the project as only a few users are interested on this.

You can do whatever you want with the source code.

We understand you but i would prefer you next time is to create a poll and ask people if they would like "this app" to be developed.
Another thing is when you post please consider to post the virustotal scan as most of us are afraid of viruses.

Through tor i think it is not allowed or if it is you have to pay fee i think from which i have read here.
OP can you develop a feature to test signatures for Jr.member, Member, Full member, Sr.member, Hero.

I just want to tell you to take this as a suggestion for the future project to post the virus total too. It's a good behavior for a developer. And don't forget my other suggestion about the polls. Good luck in your next projects.
