From what i've been researching since yesterday's incident (see this if not aware: http://www.coindesk.com/no-satoshi-nakamoto-hasnt-moved-a-thing/) using blockchain.info is not a good idea since it shows inaccurate data. So my question is: what is a the best block explorer out there?

blockr.io is a pretty good alternative.
Or if you want to go old-school, then use http://blockexplorer.com/

I like this one, but which is the best depends on what you want it for.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC

If it's only for normal things like checking address balances then it only really depends personal taste. Most block explorers offer that functionality. If you are a programmer who wants to use a block explorers API then it depends on what the API offers and how often you can access it in rapid succession.

best option is to use 5 explorers. and then use the results to check against each other. that way it validates the results and will always have atleast 3-5 results if one of the services dies off and another gets buggy..

dont rely on just one service

why do you search for an alternative? i believe blockchain is the best explorer, i dont believe that others dont have any issues, blockchain is the biggest explorer thats why we spot more issues with it

Yesterday blockchain.info showed Satoshi's coins were being moved when all the other block explorers showed they hadn't moved. Somebody must have found a way to tamper with blockchain.info to make it show fake transactions. He might want a few alternatives in case situations like that happen again.

https://live.blockcypher.com/ They are, currently, the only site that can predict the probability that a transaction will confirm.

Like others have mentioned already blocktrail and blockr.io are some other block explorers that you might want to try.  I find blocktrail to be a little bit overwhelming with information sometimes. And then there’s the cool Japanese block explorer (chainflyer.bitflyer.jp), I especially like how they use little keyholes to represent a multi sig transaction.

blocktrail.com is my personal favorite.

Other great alternatives are: blockr.io, smartbit.com.au, and live.blockcypher.com.

blockchain.info can no longer be trusted, it used to be one of the best blockchain explorers for a long time, but unfortunately they have made too many fuckups.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yeah I like the design of chainflyer (and sounds), a lot more pleasing to the eye than most explorers I've used.

Apart from that I use walletexplorer.com

This one is nice. I like it. Really something special compared to the others.

Before anyone leaves blockchain.info consider what people connected to other exchanges and wallets will say about their biggest competitor?

I call 'attempt to ruin reputation to steal market share'.

In my opinion blockchain.info is still the best online wallet by quite a distance.

I actually love the design of blockchain.info, the colors and layout is just perfect. Can anyone pretty please code a clone that will not screw up like the actual blockchain.info that looks the same?
