In my opinion, yes it is wrong.

Most people should have one, maybe two accounts tops.

Creating accounts just to sell them does the following:

1. allows scammers to buy accounts with history and then scam others.
2. is unfair to anyone not farming accounts who wants to participate in a signature campaign. 
(Why should I get paid once when you can get paid 2 or 3 times)?
3. is unfair to companies running signature campaigns (many explicitly forbid this)
4. encourages others to also farm accounts.
5. makes the ranking system meaningless
6. encourages spammy low value posts just to increase post rank.
7. does not add value to the community.

I can say that I have farmed accounts in the past, and I was able to develop a reputation for selling very high quality accounts with extremely good post histories. Anyone that I advertised for certainly got their money's worth and then some. Many others that tried to emulate my activity ended up banned because they were not able to sustain my post quality and ended up making largely insubstantial posts.

You absolutely should not rely on "rank" when trying to decide if someone should be trusted or not. At the very least, you should rely on time spent on the forum (either post count - with high post quality -, time spent "online"") but in reality, the best barometer is previous trading history.

Well several/many/most people have multiple accounts for varying reasons, some to "farm" accounts, some to scam (these are usually called out by BadBear), and some to speak unpopular viewpoints. IMO there is little difference between trying to sell all of someone's accounts that were created with the intent to speak unpopular opinions and trying to sell "farmed" accounts. IMO if you try to stop people from farming accounts, then you are also inadvertently also trying to stop people from creating accounts for the purpose of speaking unpopular viewpoints.

I don't disagree with your conclusion that the OP is a scammer, although I think the reason he is a scammer is because he is trying to pretend to take out a loan when he is really trying to sell the collateral associated with the loan.

not really.  people creating multiple accounts for the purpose of saying something controversial aren't trying to sell those accounts and aren't advertising them and don't need to use them for sig campaigns, etc.  The system allows unlimited accounts but it doesn't mean it's necessarily trustworthy behavior for all the reasons I listed.

I concede point number one. What trading history do I have!? Hmm... None. And I wanted to keep it that way until I lost my charger. But whatever. I concede that scammers might buy an account. That does not make me untrustworth. If l sell a cellphone, and someone does wrong with it, I am not responsible, it's ridiculous to hold me responsible for what someone with bad intent could do with an account. That holds true for any sold accounts, not just "farmed" ones.

Point two: none of the accounts I'm offering as collateral are nor have been in signature campaigns! both the lender and the escrow can confirm that.

Three: same as four. None of my accounts have been in signature campaigns.

Four: buying accounts encourages farming accounts. By tour logic, everyone buying several accounts from a single person is also worthy of negative trust. That is ridiculous, because it's not a reflection upon their trustworthiness, but your opinion of what they should do.

Five: what makes the ranking system so important? You have posted at least once a day since you got here and were here longer than me. A nearly meaningless factoid is what the ranking system is.
