One question: Why?  Unless I'm missing something, this has no place in mining.  A year ago maybe, but not now.

Bragging rights?  Gaming?  Had $1000 (or equiv) sitting around burning a hole in your (virtual) pocket?  Think it's going to be a cold winter, needed an extra heat source?

I'm sure it looks nice.. would I want one?  No..

It's huge, much bigger than than a reference 7970. Will not fit inside most ATX cases without some elbow grease and a dremel. One more issue (maybe it's system specific) is the inability to tweak the voltage of second gpu. MSI afterburner can tweak voltage of the first Tahiti chip but not the second (/stuck at 1.17V).

My bad, i was meaning fittment issues with the heatsink not contacting GPU's.

Thanks for the pic btw.

Depends on the cost of electricity and resale value.  If it hashes at 1.3 Gh/s and makes 5 USD a day and you can resell it next month for $900, then you made $50.  Assuming your power costs are low.  Would I buy one? No.  Is it cool?  Cool yes.

OR?! Maybe people that are buying it think ASIC is a lie and are hedging their bets on them not actually being released.  /fud

3GH/s still wouldn't be worth the 999 price tag. Tongue

So 30% of the hashrate for 70% of the price and (I'm guessing here) 400% power draw? How is this worth it?

if you click on the link for pictures you would see it hashing away at 550mh/s per gpu 1100mh/s total

That sounds about right for a 7970 @ 925MHz. Bump them to 1100, and you could get 1200mh/s.
