I hate to see anyone lose money, but I have been so sick of the Etherieum shills around the internet lately shoving Ethereum in our faces like its the greatest thing since sliced bread.

It had a pre-sale; stick a fork in it.

The last time I heard mania like this was when Facebook was IPO'ing and every twat was telling me that there was *no way* the price would drop at IPO.

Perhaps Ethereum can recover after a year of dumping.

Account is back under control of the real AmericanPegasus.

It started at 2000 and went to 1337 eth/btc on a sliding scale depending on when you bought.

Of course its dumping. Every freakin IPO does. Poor bastards who are late to market or holding are going to lose money or baghold.

We will have to open a section " Ethereum Bagholders Anonymous". "Free tissues".

ETH is trading, in BTC terms, between 4-5x the initial IPO price at the moment. Please spare ETH 'bag holders' your sympathy Cheesy

Let's not forget that BTC price was 600+ when Ether IPO start. With this speed of dropping, even IPO investors will see their break even (in USD) very soon, if i was them i would sell now to take some small profits.

hmm.... so at $0.7 each they're still actually more expensive than they first were...

I hate to see anyone lose money

Ethereum has caused every Bitcoin and altcoin holder to lose money by vacuuming huge amounts of BTC from holders and dumping it to $.

I have been so sick of the Etherieum shills around the internet lately shoving Ethereum in our faces like its the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I had the impression you'd be fine with that sort of thing.  Roll Eyes

The market cap was around 170, now 88 ?

Price halved in a single day?

Is this the start of unsurprising inevitable dump?

etherum is going to have the same problem that NXT is having, nice features but no application. Your average non computer person does not care about smart contracts and all these fancy features that these so called "nextgen" coins have they only care if it can transfer value from one place to another and is simple enough for them to use

Fair comment. Ethereum now needs some useful apps. One of the purposes of the Frontier launch was to get an Ethereum platform out there that app developers could start using. I think it'll happen more quickly than many expect.

On the other hand, if popular adoption was all it took to make a coin a success, there'd be a lot of rich DOGE bag holders around. And there aren't.

Vitalik does not particularly like the Austrian school
you were told that by buying in IPO you support the team, not that the value should be appreciated

It's really normal. Just some body pump it and then dump it.

Nxt has superb wallet, real-world use cases and so on. Ethereum has some tools for playing with something promised to be game-changer. Feel the difference Smiley

Nothing more than common sense..  Hugely inflated price due to it being traded only on kraken

Yeah...and Kraken's initial umpity-thousand-confirmation policy - although self-protective - assured a hothouse market with untethered buys but restricted sells. The setup seriously restricted the supply while not limiting the demand. That's why the price of ethers was artificially high from the start.

Not to mention those who were/are not tech savvy enough to get access to their coins. The more I hear about Ethereum the more it stinks.
