If there were mistakes like yesterday again it might be a dismissal for Pep,

I don't think pep can be fired this season, no matter where city ends up in the EPL table, his performances with city in the last two EPL seasons when they were champions twice in a row should grant him that immunity. And I also don't think city will go totally trophyless, they are already in the carabao cup final against Aston Villa, still also in the fa cup and UCL, so there could be some consolation and maybe even more.

Pep is not known to get sacked, most times he walks away and flee from the challenge available.
I do not think city will go trophy-less, but their performances this season is far and well underwhelming.

They have one of the best managers out there and they won't just part ways with a proven Champions League veteran to their competition.

His pedigree in the Champions League is one of the main reasons why city bought him and maybe another reason why he'll still be in the job for while, but then that makes his UCL chase a priority, he can't continue to fail in that competition, and things aren't easy this season with Madrid waiting in a fortnight.

City is a team garnished with arrays of talents in every position, they just had too many injuries this season, and with the amount they usually spend on transfers, you do not expect the manager to call for players anytime a transfer window(such as that in January)opens. Pep wouldn't be calling it quit with city, I think I read somewhere some weeks back that he'll be in the job as long as city do not fire him.

One thing i know about PEP is that he's the kind of Coach who wants things to always go perfect and leave a trail of record. So far in Manchester City, things haven't been so smooth for him like they were in Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Reminder that Liverpool will play tonight against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup. Klopp might field a weak team (like the one who lost to Aston Villa 5-0)..not sure why though since: 1) Liverpool doesn't have any fixtures next weekend. 2) The next important game will be on 18th agaist Atletico Madrid so, the squad could have like two weeks to rest after this game.

No wonder Liverpool ML is currently @2.01 odds. I can't imagine Liverpool's U23 losing to a 3rd division team, that would be pretty embarrasing, tbh..it could mean no chance of winning the treble...I guess Klopp prioritizes getting a bigger lead in the league table over the possibility of winning the treble..weird, isn't it?

I think he explained it before already. The English FA asked all the teams in EPL to respect the new winter break, not to play any games not even in friendlies. So they promised.

Then the FA asks them to play in the break. So he made his promise come true and he played the smaller and younger squad. I think this is not weird at all.

The youngsters played really well. Made more than 12 shots and 4 of them are on target. Though the winning goal came from an own goal, I think it was well deserved.

 I mean to think that Liverpool doesn't have decent youngsters is just plain old wrong, they are one of the best teams in the whole world right now and I know they usually buy their players from other teams but they also get young players they seem to like as well and they train them to their current system so it wouldn't be really a shock to see them win like this, not saying that young team would have any chance in premier league to be in top 5 or even top 10, but beating Shrewsbury Town is something they can definitely do without any issues at all, they are just good enough for that, but it was some serious team at high levels of FA cup, I am sure klopp would just put the main line up just in case, I don't think he just gives up on FA cup this easily.

In recent matches Southampton doing very good so this match is not going to be easy for Tottenham both teams to score or over 2.5 are better choices for any one as both on @1.80 and ML is @1.70.

There is no team that doesn't have young players, though some teams have a better youth academy than others and those teams have the ability to groom better young and promising talents. TBH Liverpool aren't renowned for developing young talents of late, but if klopp continues to give the kids a chance one time or the other, soon they will start doing great things.

Mourinho and his team have been erratic this season so they can come into this game on the back of a big victory against City and still lose against Southampton, so I'm not too sure about spurs winning.

It should be a straightforward victory for Tottenham tonight, perhaps a 2:1 victory because Tottenham defence line makes mistakes alot which will lead to a goal scoring opportunity for Southampton poachers.

Liverpool has the best defense in PL this season and Southampton to go through that and despite that they made some chances makes me fair to say that they are good in terms of attacking. They have Ings and Long both capable of scoring some good goals.

Whatever today might be , I think it will be a good test of Spurs defense today. I am also not confident of Spurs victory though but I am not sure of Spurs either. But let's see how it goes tonight.

Tottenham hotspurs got the needed points as the competition is getting narrower. There was never a contest for the first position, but Spurs would still have a chance to qualify for the Champions league. Just over Chelsea and again 5 teams from the league would play Champions league.

Considering Tottenham is on a good roll recently, I am expecting a very easy win from them, they have managed to stay active and won the last two games already, Southampton is definitely better than they used to be but they are just not on the same level when it comes to talent as well.

I am expecting something like 3-0 by looking at the names however it is Mourinho, we know he won't go that far and just work for that simple 3 points so I assume 2-0 or even 1-0 would be quite possible, in any case whatever the result will be, I am 99% sure that Tottenham will not be scored on, they just have too much of a great defense and in the end Mourinho style is a defensive one, you can figure out the offensive ones and stop people but not defensive styles because their job is to stop you.

I can still see him managing Man City at least by next season because if you remember it Guardiola is the one who leaves the club and not the other way around. Both his time in Barcelona and Bayern Munich he is the one who decides when his contract will be renewed or not, the clubs don't even want to sack him because his skill both in coaching the team as well as managing transfers is top notch and it can be hard for them to replace someone like that. And let us just be real for a minute here I know Liverpool is winning by a mile in the table but Man City is still the second best team out there, they are also performing very well in the Champions League so I really don't see their owners or even their fans being disappointed about this one.
