Manchester United 1 - 3 Chelsea



definitely chelsea is very lucky in those last games, it was something that is somehow saving frank lampard  meanwhile Manchester United is in big trouble, won nothing this season, I wonder when will the direction of manchester united start thinking about hiring better coache

I am quite happy that Southampton won, that means there is a chance that Watford could stay in the league. Now Watford has 2 games, against City and against Arsenal both of which looks like it could be a very easy L for them and that is scary, that just means they can't stay if other teams win their games, so it is not up to them, however if they can get just 1 point out of those two games, they are guaranteed to stay.

On the other side Bournemouth will play Everton and has to win to stay, I do not see a win for them neither, it looks like it could be a good L for them as well. Aston Villa on the other hand will play Arsenal and West Ham, I think Arsenal would be a tough game but West Ham guaranteed to stay and not aiming at anything so maybe they could win that game.

@Globb0 Ever since they got their new shirt sponsor "Three" they are surprisingly scoring 3 goals or are conceding 3 goals.

That is not surprising, it is part of the contract. They get hefty bonus for every game where they score or concede 3 goals. So if you can"t score them then you let opponents score to get to the magic number 3.

Since sarcasm and attempts to be funny often fall on deaf ears here in the forum, let me just say that above is of course joke, but could be true  you never know.

Great game by Chelsea, I was quite sure united is winning this but they decided to rest few players and paid the price. Who would have guessed, Arsenal and Chelsea in the final. That is the beauty of FA cup.

No it's not, isn't it? If Aston Villa wins both their games against Arsenal and West Ham, 1 point won't be enough for Watford. With one more point they would be at 35 points, Aston Villa could with one win and one draw be also at 35 points, that's when GD decides. But with two wins Aston Villa would be at 37 points and would go past Watford. Since I don't really see any real chances for Watford against City and Arsenal they need to hope that both Aston Villa and Bournemouth dont win their games.

With what was at his disposal and usually available players that OLE has been able to count on this season, I think he has done an impressive job, I'd rather Man Utd stick with him for years more, dynasty aren't built in a day and you can ask Liverpool. Changing coaches every now and then is never a good and it usually disrupt the progress of each, when they'd need to adapt to a new approach and philosophy often.

Those two goals cheaply conceded by DeGea was quite disappointing and a costly mistake for a highly rated goalkeeper of a big club like Man utd personally I agreed with you that Romero should had manned the post probably the match might had ended in a draw although Chelsea dominated the match and deserve to win thus proving some of their critic wrong based on their previous encounter with Man Utd this season losing most their meetings.
The final match with Arsenal is going to be a different ball game now that Arteta is in charge of the North London club, the club has improved tremendously in recent times and they will surely try to avenge their last Europa cup defeat against Chelsea.

De gea has been lacklustre in recent times though.  I didn't expect him to let those 2 goals slide past him especially in an important game like this. Maguire was unfortunate with the own goal too. To be honest, I expected Manchester United to win the game. But Chelsea vs Arsenal in the final is an interesting fixture to look forward to. I hope Arsenal wins it though. They really need a trophy.

David De Gea for the last couple of seasons

LOL, that was really funny and certainly not very pleasant to see that he has shown poor performance over the past few season. He conceded many goalsand of course he is not the only one to blame for Manchester United poor performance over the past few season because the goalkeeper will find it very difficult to keep the goal without conceding if the defender is not effective enough to withstand attack from the opposing team.

De Gea is one of the best goalkeeper ever for Manchester United, although his performances have not been impressive lately. But he is still considered the best goalkeeper ever and I love it to continue to be Manchester United first goalkeeper for the next few season.

Actually if Aston Villa lose their next game with Arsenal then Watford only need 1 points out of last two games that they will be playing. If Aston Villa win their next game then they would have the same point as Watford

Thats why you should cross your fingers and hope Arsenal win against Aston Villa  . This would be crucial for Watford but we are now down to two last game of the season so probably Manchester City and Arsenal would go easy on Watford.

One thing for sure, Arsenal probably wont be playing all their main squad on matchweek 38 because Arsenal will be playing against Chelsea on FA Cup Final on 1st of August so probably they will be holding back against Watford

So according to calculations Bournemouth actually aren't relegated yet. Now Aston Villa and them will both be hoping that Watford loses their next games while they both actually win their remaining ones. Tough one for every one of them but I think the bookies will be backing Bournemouth here because  they have winnable games. Watford needs just 1 win to confirm their stay though so they have motivation.

Manchester City will certainly lose their place at UCL next season even though they managed to rank second in the EPL standing this season. By the way, who deserves their place next season, is the team that finished 5th and who will qualify?

Honestly, their defence was equally awful as well, especially for the second goal ^{[they gave too much space away]}.

Since I don't really see any real chances for Watford against City and Arsenal they need to hope that both Aston Villa and Bournemouth dont win their games.

Regardless of issues surrounding Watford, they did manage to get a surprise win against Liverpool earlier in the season so I wouldn't rule them out completely.

I hope Arsenal wins it though. They really need a trophy.

It is a straightforward bet and i do not see Norwich scoring any goals in the match considering their poor record in the past games as they failed to score a goal and their defense is pretty weak and i am expecting atleast 2 goals from Chelsea and i would like to take a risk and my bet is on Willian to score a goal because of his recent form in assist and scoring goals.

Since Chelsea got their new sponsor "3 Mobile" in all the match they played the winning team scored 3 goals. Like if Chelsea won they scored 3 goals also if they loose they conceded 3 goals. So, I think this will be another 3 goals match for Chelsea.    They will easily win the match. And I also think that Willian will score today too. As he is in a good form now.

Ha ha no I'm not rich yet. The day I predicted this Chelsea scored only 1goal lol. But today they again scored 3goals. It was a good day for me and you too. But Chelsea is too much unpredictable. -_-
Also, my favourite Real Madrid did 2-2 with leganes. I thought it will be a easy win of 0-2

Based on form alone, I expected United to advance to the final. Chelsea was better overall and De Gea really had a bad game - things like these should not happen to high-caliber goalkeepers.
I agree with LFC_Bitcoin though, he really has not been up to standard the last few seasons.

The final will be quite the opposite to what I expected since Arsenal beat City as well, and I'm tipping Chelsea to lift it.

Prior to last night game, United has beaten us in all our encounter (three times this season) but I was very optimistic of Lampard pulling off a win, it wasn't a surprise as we were capable of defeating United all this while but were just unlucky. Even the very first game they scored us 4-0 we outplayed them. United has never been better than us (Chelsea) this season. Check the table, we're topping them and just kicked their ass out of the FA cup.

Bring it on Liverpool, our spot 4 finish is certain as I'm very positive we'll be able to pass Liverpool although I know it won't be an easy encounter.

I don't agree Sheffield will win against Everton, even though Everton must lose 5 players in the match later. The quality of Everton players
are still above the Sheffield United players, the draw is suitable for both teams. For Wolverhampton vs Crystal Palace, I agree home win for
me too. One more match Brighton vs Newcastle I predict the final result of the match will draw, especially with the quality of the two teams
balanced. And also the results of the match before it showed both failed to win, in the match Brighton will play more attacking, while Newcastle
don't want to lose twice in a row, then Newcastle will play more defensively. This is the cause Brighton had difficulty winning the match so
the draw was a realistic outcome.

My bets for today are:
Sheffield Utd - Everton:  1
Wolves - Crystal Palace:  1
In both cases, I bet on the victory of the home teams. I value the skills of Sheffield and Wolverhampton more than their rivals. In addition, both teams are still fighting for the European cups and their determination will certainly be higher than those of the opponents who are not playing for anything more. That's why I don't expect any surprises in today's matches.

Brighton vs Newcastle is the worst match to bet on imo. Both teams are performing miserably... Newcastle has nothing to lose and Brighton needs 1 point in the next two games to be 100% secure of the relegation zone without counting on other teams defeat. Logically Brighton should do something, even bets is in its favor...
The easiest game for today is for Wolves who should win vs Crystal Palace easily to get their 6th place back from Tottenham!
For Sheffield, I expected it to win although Everton is a challenging opponent and both teams to score.
