I don’t know anything about Kostas Tsimikas. Any Greek guys here?
Is he any good?
It’s back up for Robertson so I see it as a positive.
Many do not know Kostas Tsimikas, because this player has just won a place in the Olympiakos main team in the 2018-2019 season. And the two previous seasons on loan to Esbjerg and Willem II. The 2019-2020 season Tsimikas appeared in 46 matches helping Olympiakos won the Greek Super League champion. To be a back up for Robertson I think it is good, and also the purchase price is not too expensive. Obviously Tsimikas has been a good player judging by his previous clubs and playing time i.e experiences Kloop must have watched his pattern of play thus signing him as a another back up player, he (Tsimikas) might not make an instant impact in the team however a close monitoring and guidance by Kloop will surely make him to blend with his teammates of course the style of play of Liverpool and the whole team strength lies with the attacking prowess of their leftback and rightback Robertson and Arnold however an injury to Robertson will give a chance to Kostas Tsimikas prove his worth IMHO.

I think we are reading on a backup player too much, think about it, dude is just a back up to robertson and not really a starting level player. However what he could be for is that liverpool didn't had too much break, they finished the season and very soon the league will come back and that means players will need rest time to time, plus liverpool will be in champions league, in epl and in fa cup as well amongst maybe some other games? So at the end of the day robertson can't play in all of those games, he will have to be rested time to time in order to get ready for the next game, in which case Kostas could play at the back in those small amount of games. Unless Robertson gets injured I think the best case for Kostas is 10 starts, and I think not even that much would happen.

Willian could be 31 but he is definitely an improvement for most teams, I think he would be great at arsenal as well, I can see auby and willian connecting very well too because they are both very talented players, auby of course very young but willian could teach him a bit of things as well, the veteran stuff, you do not have to be more talented than a player to teach them some stuff, they could be more talented than you and you could still help them get even better.
Locker room transfers that help on the court are so valuable, they are literally without a price because if a player can rile up a whole locker room and have that huge leader charisma that can make players all around him better, you can't put a price tag on him. Willian could be that person in Arsenal.

According to some articles, Arteta has plans to give Willian a kind of central role so yeah it wid be a great link-up indeed as you said. Also there are rumours of Lacazette to Juventus so that would free up that position if happens. I am waiting for gunners to make some move in this transfer market. BTW auby is not young man. But yeah he is playing really good.

I already said in another thread that Willian could be a good fit for Arsenal. He will not play predominantly on the right wing though because Pepe had a decent debut season and basically plays only as a right winger.
They will probably rotate 4 players in the offense, with Saka losing a lot of minutes. It will be interesting to see what the 'ideal' first 11 will look like. I think Lacazette will be the one losing minutes if he does not improve because Aubameyang can play as striker now that they have Willian that can play left wing. Lacazette is playing only as a striker and his inability to play multiple positions will probably cost him.

EPL season 20/21 will start on September 12, 2020. How will it continue, without spectators? Will the top flight still be dominated by big EPL clubs or are there any new surprises? Let's watch it together. I can't wait for the new season to be interesting. Regardless of the competition, there are some interesting things about the jersey being changed every season, and it's like a necessity to get rid of bad luck. Looking at the jersey this season, the brand ambassadors for Nike and Adidas still dominate the jersey of EPL's clubs, although there are several other brands such as Puma, Umbro, Hummel, Kappa and Under Armor. Many believe that the jersey kit is also a lucky factor throughout the season. The picture above is the new Liverpol's jersey for next season, and for details all club jersey season 20/21, please go to this link: https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2020/08/19/premier-league-kit-rankings-2020-21/

Premier league fixtures for next season is out. Games will start from 12 September. Man City and Utd are given late start due to their participation in European competitions. Decent fixtures in opening round but I am particularly looking forward to Liverpool vs Leeds.
I'm not. I don't think there could be a worse fixture for Leeds to open with... Maybe Man City away. They're playing City at home as their third game though so it's going to be a tough month for them. It's not going to do Leeds' confidence any good if they get spanked 3/4/5-0 which I could see happening at Anfield. The only thing I can see going in their favour is if Liverpool are a bit rusty and go into the game complacent. Happens to some big teams on the first game. Maybe Leeds can pick up some points from the other two games against Fulham and Sheffield, but they'll probably struggle at Sheffield away. Fulham is at home though.

First games of a new season are often strange & you can get unexpected results. I usually stay away from gambling on the open weekend, certainly not to pick ML’s.

Every time when we have new season first 1 or 2 rounds need to check things how they going so placing bets very risky and not good idea just watching and have fun is good because no one can predict about any team or any player.

I always think that having hard games at the start might be good, since teams performance aren't good at the first games so Leeds for example can pick a win or maybe a draw then winning vs weaker teams.

oh, seems like Leeds gonna have tough opening month. I only looked at the opening fixtures. I saw Leeds fans saying Leeds this and that ,Marcelo Biesla this and that after they won Championship so I want to see how they are gonna perform against big teams. Plus they have made a return to PL after 16 years so that makes it more interesting for me and watch them how they perform in this season now that they have made it. I am gonna consider Blades match into as a tricky fixture. They are tough as we saw in last season. There have been a change for Blades - their goalkeeper Dean Henderson will be back at Man Utd as his loan with Sheffield United has expired.

Also Arsenal are facing a tricky situation, as they’re up against Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United in their early games, and if they loose all the three games then it’ll be very difficult for them to finish in the top four once again.

My favorite team to watch will be WBA. Can't wait to see how will they cope in Premier league with Slaven as a coach. Back in Premier, but in a completely different position and much more limitations then what he had at West Ham. Bielsa with Leeds too, my favorite coach, hopefully they will be able to chip of some points from the big teams.

Its good your favourite teams and coaches now in Premier League in first round Leeds is going to face Liverpool its very tough for them to play first match against champions they are going to lost this by 3 - 0 or 4 - 0 but WBA is going to face poor Leciester its much better for them as hopefully they will able to have good start from here.

How will it continue, without spectators?
There are ongoing talks in regards to allowing "only home fans" attending matches with 20-30% of the stadium's capacity starting October 3 [source]... - Looks like home advantage will get a significant boost this season.

Yeah, watching Leeds will be purely nostalgic for me but they really got the worse possible start to their season, be interesting to see how they'll take the approach. Probably try to get the draws and get past their tough start, preventing precisely the kind of humiliation that would really hang over their heads for weeks. @SFR10 if those news are right, earliest for fans in stadiums is October so the season could even 5/6 games in before a home game becomes a real home game! Unfair advantage for the teams who'll have those fans? 30% is a third of the stadium and ONLY home? Seems unfair for teams who won't have home games in that period! -Edit Liverpool 3-0 up in first friendly. Watching from lfctvgo and they look sharp (but Stuttgart aren't a big team *right now* so!)

Until now nothing is official and all depends from the evolution of the situation. Having a home advantage is another issue especially when big teams face each other, they will whine about it for sure but will accept it in the end. Having some money is better than nothing!

There has been a lot of positive news regarding next season that matches with spectators will be allowed, although officially it has not been announced yet. But I am optimistic that this will become a reality, even if allowed, the number of spectators who attend is limited and only from the home side only. So that home advantage can be felt again, especially if the big teams face each other, this will add to the excitement of the match.
