Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I don't think you are going to find anyone willing to accept PayPal funds from you, let alone $1,500 worth of PayPal. However in the unlikely event that you can find someone willing to accept such funds, they will almost certainly want ridiculous rates that will not be ideal for you.

I am sure that you will receive offers from many new users who are "more then willing" to trade with you, however they will want you to send first to you, and if you do then they will stall for as long as possible to avoid you filing any kind of dispute with PayPal until they are able to cash out of their newly stolen funds. At best you are going to waste a lot of time dealing with these people, and at worse you will end up getting scammed.

You will probably be best off by withdrawing our PayPal funds to your bank account and then buying bitcoin with Cash. If this is not an option, then you can use virwox to buy bitcoin with PayPal
