There are some methods on getting Spotify premium for 3 months for free. Technically they are their accounts, and the password won't be changed. The method can be used over and over again.

After the 3 months for free, I guess you can't extend it anymore with the same method so you will just need to create a new account. That's why these codes can be used to extend the premium subscription of their old account not a new one.
