Stripcoin losing popularity?

well, two things:

1- not enough hot chicks who will take their clothes off for money know what bitcoin is (campaign opportunity!)
2- the site could be a lot better

Was it ever popular to begin with? Seems like this point is missed on a lot of bitcoin ventures. You can build it but you still have to make them come.

Once BitInstant's debit card comes out, it'll be LOTS easier to approach the entire camgirl community. When they have an easy way to cash out, they'll jump on board.

#1 - Reddit sucks
#2 - People don't want to pay for porn when you can get it for free.
#3 - If they are stripping for BTC, there probably isn't too many women smart enough in that field that are tech savvy (Not being sexist, just being statistical).

Issue with #3 is that it crosses over to #2 -- lots of very tech-savvy geek/gamer girls in r/gonewild doing for free what the girls in r/girlsgonebitcoin are doing for money.   It's not that they aren't smart enough to use Bitcoin; it's that lots of them just aren't charging to show off their bits & pieces, and that takes us to #2 on your list.   

Stripcoin needs to hit the weirdo niches, where quality free content is harder to find.

There's little point trying to get more girls there - if there aren't enough guys there giving good tips.
Chicken - egg .. yeah yeah..  but there have been some fit girls try it out, and apparently not enough incentive for them to stick around.
I suspect there just isn't enough BTC flowing there to make it worthwhile.
If there was - they'd be posting pics/shows all the time and it would be growing.

I doubt this scene will be particularly vibrant until there is a really large Bitcoin userbase - as presumably it's only a pretty small proportion of folk who are interested in tipping for this sort of thing.
It wouldn't surprise me if a good slice of the tips so far are given by BTC enthusiasts more out of encouragement for the whole idea/industry, rather than any particular enthusiasm for what the girls are showing. (that's my excuse for throwing a few bitcents in anyway!)
