So it appears Satoshi hasn't disappeared after all. see 3rd pic in link below.

https://blogs.office.com/2015/08/12/new-outlook-partner-add-ins-and-expanded-rollout-of-outlook-com-preview/

Still sending emails from his gmx.com account and all.  Wink

Kinda strange that Microsoft would use an example image like that one. Thought I'd just post it here for fun.

Nice catch!
But I think Satoshi would probably refuse to keep e-mail contact with people using the nosy outlook.com e-mail system...

It was hacked a while back, I dont think much useful info came of it though.  Strange though that "he" has been able to secure his identity, and seemingly not care that "he" has millions of btc just kicking around, but he couldnt secure an email address...

Haha, nice catch.

Actually, Satoshi is the receiver, not the sender.

Someone at Microsoft is a big bitcoin fan. Smiley

Actually, I think that may just be a reply to his message. Cause on the left hand pane it says inbox and under his name it says Hi Gavin etc. The other emails are interesting too.

That's fucking funny. Subtle advertisement by Microsoft? What else can be? or whoever wrote that blog is a bitcoiner and used him as in inside joke so we would mention his article here. In any case, it worked.

Yeah, just a blogger taking some artistic liberties while making the post.  Doesn't look likes it's a BTC endorsement by MS in any way shape or form.  Still a cool find though!

I wouldn't say its just some blogger. Actually its the Outlook team and they have used the name of Bitcoin 'satoshi' to possibly subliminally 'Bitcoin it up' what is in reality silly ole PayPal.

If I was Satoshi I would sue.....

If I was Satoshi I would also be having fun somewhere....

yes.  very good find indeed.

wow.  surprised but not stunned microsoft is using satoshi for advertising.
i guess he's famous enough amongst enough of the technology community and you don't have to compensate for using him in advertising.

we know how ms doesn't like to pay for things.   Smiley

Maybe it wasn't secure because he abandoned the email address and every hint towards him long before it was hacked? He didn't change password anymore after all.
