Free virtual mobile phone number?

I want to create an account on a site. It forces me to verify the account by sending a SMS code to my mobile phone. I do not want to share my mobile phone number. I heard about websites where you can get a virtual mobile phone number (similar to a trash mail site)? Do you know such sites?
Ideally, I need a number from a European country.

Does the number have to be specifically from a European country? I sell Google Voice numbers here, which are American phone numbers that can be used for verification on many sites. If you need American numbers I can help you out.
