UK citizens please sign petition to have Benjamin Netanyahu arrested for war crimes

Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in London this September. Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the U.K for the massacre of over 2000 civilians in 2014

These petitions are largely meaningless sadly. Think all that happens is they're put forward for possible debate in the House of Commons but even if it gets to that stage (which I doubt it will) they'll just deny it.

Yup, nothing will happen. Think a similar thing happened for George Bush to be arrested for War crimes too, though I think there are still some certain European countries he's scared of going to because they might arrest him. It seems War Crimes are only War Crimes when the West labels them as dictators or tyrants but obviously white or jewish people can never be either of those (unless you commit mass murder against the jews or said white people then it's a different story).

Israelis and Americans are immune from war crime prosecutions. So even if they get one million signatures, it is not going to make any difference. Did any one dared to prosecute Harry S. Truman for killing 300,000 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Did anyone tried to prosecute Hillary Clinton for masterminding the NATO bombings of Serbian orphanages and kindergartens in 1999? Same with Netanyahu as well.

It's great that so many people have signed the petition but been as the UK is a safe haven for war criminals, Bibi will probably be welcomed with open arms. In fact the only politician likely to say anything against Netanyahu's visit would be Corbyn at a guess, I can't imagine Dodgy Dave debating anything meaningful...

Yes, nothing will happen probably. Even if there are 100k signatures. Don't think that is the main point though. The idea behind the petition is to raise awareness of what happened last year. And it will also help raise awareness of how the Palestinians are treated. Maybe even bring more attention to the boycott movement against Israel too.

Agreed, I didnt mean to imply that nothing would happen as a result of the petition. It's similar to the way protest marches raise awareness to important issues that would otherwise be sidelined or ignored.

Please sign if you havent, at 90,000 now, hopefully this will at least get some publicity for the issue and cause some embarrassment.  Of course he wont be arrested, millions marched against going into Iraq and the government ignored it but we are still opening peoples minds to an alternative and moving in the right direction.

Why would more signatures matter? Nothing will happen just as with any other petition on that site. If they were going to arrest him for war crimes then they'd have to go after Blair & Bush & Obama & Cameron etc.

What sort of rubbish you are talking about? Netanyahu is the mean reason why ISIS is still strong in Syria and Iraq. When the Syrian army was about to destroy the ISIS in South Syria, Netanyahu had Israeli bomber jets attack the regime locations. This enabled the ISIS to retain this strategically important region. I hope that Netanyahu will burn in hell.
