First of all, hi. This is my first post, but I've been reading this forums for a month or so.

As I can't find the answer to my problems just by searching (and wow, I searched a lot), I'm gonna ask for help.

When I run poolserverj, I get this error message spammed each 500ms or so (a lot of spam):

getblocknumber response status 404 for url: http://localhost:8339/

My bitcoin.conf:

server=1
rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=xxx
rpcport=8339
rpcssl=0

I tried rpcallowip=*, but for some reason bitcoind simply stops listening to the rpc port and listens only to 8333.

My poolserverj.conf:

source.local.1.url=http://localhost:8339/
source.local.1.p2p.hostport=127.0.0.1:8333

Not only poolserverj is doing that, but also it's consuming a hellova memory and cpu.

I'd REALLY appreciate any help in this issue.

I think what was consuming cpu and memory was the screen printing all that stuff.

Maybe this information will be useful

Very few people have experience with poolserverj, even among this crowd. I would suggest PMing a pool operator for assistance as they would have the most experience troubleshooting it I'd think. Graet, Slush, Luke-Jr, Eleuthria, Inaba... any of them should be able to help you.

Thank you for your time, kwoody. I messaged Graet already.

I'll wait a little bit until I get on the whitelist (34 min left), and I'm try the PoolServerJ Tech Support thread.

Thanks for the info, Graet and sippsnapp!

sippsnapp, that was the guide I followed, but since there are differences between distros and bitcoin versions, I think I'm lost somewhere between these differences. I should have used the versions this guide offered.

Graet, is ecoinpool stable right now? Would you recommend it? I also would like to know if the support is still good. Thank you!

I have the same problem.  Anyone get this resolved?

getblocknumber response status: 404 for url: http://localhost:8372/

bitcoin.conf version v0.8.5-beta
server=1
gen=0
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8372
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password

local-daemon prooperties file for poolserverj version 0.4.0rc2
#################################################
#          Local Source 1                       #
#################################################

source.local.1.name=bitcoinmine
source.local.1.localWorkGeneration=true
source.local.1.localWorkGeneration.payoutAddress={my payout address from bitcoin-qt}
source.local.1.localWorkGeneration.txFeeChangeLongpollTrigger=0.1
source.local.1.localWorkGeneration.coinbaseMessage=hi from poolserverj
source.local.1.url=http://localhost:8372/
source.local.1.p2p.hostport=localhost:8373
source.local.1.username=user
source.local.1.password=password

Also trying to setup litecoin and it seems that poolserverj doesn't actually like litecoin payout addresses.
