I have spent a few days trying to dig up some X11 hashspeeds on the new R7 and R9 cards from AMD: R7 370 2/4Gb, R9 380 2/4Gb, R9 390

From what i have found out the 390 card seem to perform like the old 290x card but at lower power ?
Is it any of these cards that perform like the old 280x ?

I am running some 280x cards with wolf0 bins at 6.5Mhs (X11) right now and i would like to find out if any of the new cards can perform like that with modified bin files.

I asked in another thread if the released Wolf0 bins could be used with the new R9 cards and the answer from Wolf was yes.

Have anyone seen any X11 hashspeeds on the new cards ?
I would really appreciate if someone could share some numbers here.

Best mining GPU is still HD 7950. 5.5 mh/s on x11 with the same wolf miner, and can pick them up for very cheap, almost half the cost of R9 380.

Yeah the 7950 is still good. Pretty good prices at that site, have you bought gpu:s from there before ?

those run hot though and have older cooling tech than the 280x r9s you an get those for $180 with rebates on new egg dual fans and a bit higher hash rate

I would take those over the 7950s.  The saphire vapor x ones are amzing they never go above 78 degeress in my basement which is close to 90degreees  in the summer

Yeah the HIS card dont look optimal for mining with only one fan.
I run my 280x cards at 6.5Mhs @ 72 degrees right now in the summer.

I am actually thinking about buying a couple of 390 cards. I have seen the old 290x cards hash at around 15Mhs (X11) with Wolf bin file. I guess the 390 card will perform around the same ?
I will probably pick up some more 280x cards also in the coming weeks. The problem is that i dont have unlimited amount of power at my home, so more hash for lower power is good for me right now.
I have had a 60+gpu farm running before but sold all gpu:s like two years ago. Now i want to go a bit more "normal" like max 10-15 gpus running at home.

Right now i really want to see some x11 hashspeeds on the 390 cards with wolf bin files. I have not found any numbers out yet.

Reference GPUs  and blower style GPUs are the best for mining. The hot air all goes on one direction. HIS IceQ is actually one of the coldest GPUs 7950s ever made. This is how HIS 7950 looks on the inside: http://img1.lesnumeriques.com/test/71/7127/his_7950_iceq_turbo_exploded.jpg

Blower fans are the only thing that should be used for mining because they don't break, unlike regular fans that break in 3-6 months.

It seem pretty smart actually. I might buy a couple of them later on.

Yeah he is just posting to get the signature up, I have a decent AMD farm (nothing huge 3 r9 290x, 2 270x, 3 7970, 3 7950) and I have started a 750ti build and I am much more enjoying it, but I mine in an apartment and the heat in the summer sucks.
Nice setup there.

I really know what you mean about having loads of stuff producing heat at home. I was running as much as my wiring in my house could handle until like 2.5 years ago. I had around 65gpus running in my home where my whole family was living. But when a PSU burned and my house almost catched fire i pulled the plug and sold all the GPU:s. Lucky for me i was at home and we where not sleeping at the time when it started to smell burned plastic. When i got in the room it was live flames going on.

Now i want some small stuff running instead, mostly because i like building and tweaking my rigs. And if i earn some profits i will be happy Smiley

I have six alu frames with motherboards, celerons, ram, psu:s and usb raisers just standing and collecting dust. It is room for 5 gpu:s per frame but i wont go all in again at this point Smiley

I don't mine when I am not home just for the fear of that, I try and only buy high end power supplies. What psu were you using that caught fire?
The PSU that burned was a Corsair HX-1000. Now i run Silverstone Strider 1200 PSU:s mostly but i have alot of Corsairs laying around still.
Do you have any 750Ti cards up and running now btw ?

Yes 3, they run great and produce like zero heat, definitely an awesome summer rig, I am putting a fourth in a standard atx case no risers.
Thats nice ! What hashrate are you getting with X11 algo ?

I see that the uproar that the this new AMD cards generated has passed. Initial reviews were bad, but they improved the performance across the board.

I don't run x11 with them I run quark on nice hash but I have read that they get around 3mh/s per card for x11 algo.
Ah ok. Well i am not sure what card i want to buy right now. I want to see some descent reviews on the new R9:s before i order any cards.

I see that the uproar that the this new AMD cards generated has passed. Initial reviews were bad, but they improved the performance across the board.
I have not seen that much speeds on the new AMD cards thats for sure.
I did see that Fury X early test and that was not so impressive. It hashed at around 8Mhs @ X11 with Wolf0 bin.
So i guess the other cards wont hash higher then that right now ?

Not sure what to buy atm. Maybe 750 Ti still is a good choice with its really low power consumption.

Anyone seen this ? http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/ccminer-x11/
750 Ti @ 4.6Mhs X11

Can anyone confirm 4+ Mhs with 750 Ti ? @ X11

Read the article again. ccminer 1.0 was doing 4.6 MHASH on the GTX 780 Ti (250W) (and 1.8 MHASH on the 750ti)

The latest ccminer sp-mod (release 60) mines x11 at around 3MHASH on the 750ti.  3,3 with overclocking. (50watt)

3.3Mhs @ 50w is actually pretty good.

I tried to start mine Ethereum today but i did not get it to work with my AMD gpu:s
I will give it a new try here some day.

Right now i have my tiny rig mining Startcoin, i think that coin have future.

I just built a new mining rig and have an R7 370 GPU-0 and a R9 390 GPU-1
Very happy with the results and these are just on default settings.

My 280x cards are running at 6.5-6.6Mhs stable.
It would be great if you could try out the Wolf0 binaries and post the results again.
