I've been out of touch for a while (new baby daughter, w00t!), but I updated to the latest 1.77 client and all looks good! Looks like I missed a lot of action, but I'm glad to see things are working again at Cryptopia. Here is my tweet for the week: https://twitter.com/catotune/status/683760681074569216It seems that some people don't like the centralized aspects of this coin, and for most cryptocurrencies I would agree. However, I look at FLY as an experiment in building value and trust, and there's a lot of unconventional thinking that goes into this coin, which I think is great. Surely I wouldn't want most coins to work like this - with a hard-coded list of exempt addresses and a centralized reward distribution structure - but as a coin that tries to be different and isn't afraid of breaking the conventional wisdom of crypto, I am extremely interested in FLY's progress. One question for the group - I had been staking from my main address into a "savings" address, with the idea that I could sell from my savings address without disqualifying myself from the SuperFLY program. However it looks as if we can now stake directly to a Cryptopia address from our main address. Is that the smarter way to go now?

as i guess a normal user has nothing to do with superfly right ?
and for the fees if i understand , buying on cryptopia cost 10% fees and sending fly cost 12 to 46% ?
A user must accumulate 100 Fly to be eligile for Superfly distributions plus put their user name on explorer via KeesDewit PM plus contribute in someway to coin promotion like helping people on thread, talking up on chatboxes on exchanges, just about anything. Full details in ann. With the 10% Tx fee the SuperFly wallet will have much larger distributions making it well worth getting the 100 FLY. The wallet developers are working on a way to make exemptions automatic without needing to have exemption manually added.

Now that direct staking is available - you have the choice but, if your goal is to sell stakes - direct is probably the way to go. If your goal is compounding interest and selling later at higher prices then direct staking to exchange loses compounding interest effect.

Hi,
How do you make sure that the superblocks are accepted?
If it is random you could get a superblock reward and when the other nodes validate it they get a totally different number and the block is not accepted...
What am I missing?
The random number is deterministic based off of the previous blocks hash. How big are the random superblocks? / Superblocks Stake Reward Structure @Devs: Is that the code for the random superblocks on github? I'm searching for it in the code and I didn't find it yet. // Calculate coin age reward int64_t nReward; { uint64_t nCoinAge; CTxDB txdb("r"); if (!txNew.GetCoinAge(txdb, nCoinAge)) return error("CreateCoinStake : failed to calculate coin age"); int64_t nBonusMultiplier = 1; nReward = GetProofOfStakeReward(nCoinAge, nBits, txNew.nTime, nFees, nCredit, prevHash, nBonusMultiplier); if (nReward <= 0) return false;
nCredit += nReward; }

Superblocks per the Ann are a multiple of the reward you would have received. As to the code, I will leave that to the experts to respond. I have not yet been lucky enough to hit one yet (except when I got off on the wrong side of a fork)
1% chance of 2x multiplier 0.8% chance of 3x multiplier 0.18% chance of 5x multiplier 0.018% chance of 10x multiplier 0.0002% chance of 20x multiplier

Thanks for the answer Woody - my goal is both to sell stakes as well as compound interest, so I plan to stake only a percentage of my PoS earnings to Cryptopia.

I would suggest 100 % stake to Cryptopia 1 week and 100% to main wallet the next or whatever time period works best for you. I know at 1 point there was a problem with splitting % "s less than 100% to the exchange. I just don't recall if that is confirmed as fixed so, be safe and go with100% One question for the group - I had been staking from my main address into a "savings" address, with the idea that I could sell from my savings address without disqualifying myself from the SuperFLY program. ok, i setup staking to 'topia @100%, staked for 1 day but no sign of any recent deposits. havn't opened a ticket yet also, i seem to have a problem with a tx to Cryptopia
i sent 2 fly in 2 tx, first one arrived safe and sound, second tx seems to be in limboland, txid= 06b75b551c5c0a69810e25a52757e97e8b5fb0375cba008423ca0a92994aee64-000, a search returns a red stripe saying no results, wallet shows multiple confs of tx
i havn't opened a ticket yet, will soon, just wanted to mention it here
[edit] ticket opened
update: ticket is still open, they've acknowledged the problem, but it seems to be a software/BC issue

I changed my system to send 100% of PoS to Cryptopia, and to toggle savings activation/deactivation each week.

Dang, I would be interested in knowing if staking to Cryptopia doesn't work for you, since I just set my savings to send 100% of stakes to there too.

Price dropping like crazy on Cryptopia... And on yobit it hits .1?! What is this madness We announced more than 1x on thread and contacted the devs of yobit, that the wallet there isnt more compatible with our new FLy-versions! Yobit cannot work with our feestructure! So; you can never withdrawal more ur coins from yobit! On cryptopia, the price is looking well. Like all coins, also Fly hits attentions by some daytraders, which are swinging the prices. But we can keep calm...the price is looking good. No dumb, no game...everything ok! Greetz Meta

Actually all wallets are working with 100% staking into cryptopia. Sometimes, it needs longer till its confirmed on cryptopia. But I would appreciate it, if you could write ur TX-ID of few stakes from you and pm keesdewit! Thanks Greetz Meta

People, would you pls continue promoting FLY like we used to do before. So social networks, forums, talk to people, whatever you do, just do a bit of effort, once a week post something somewhere where it can be seen and post a link to FLY. We need to increase our community. https://twitter.com/civandciva/status/684038585675300864
