He might be dead right now, nobody has heard from him 'officially' in a long time. None of his known addresses have had any activity. He could have died years ago.

I get what you're saying though & maybe bitcoin will only be appreciated when we're all dead & gone, before we get chance to enjoy the wealth it could bring us. I hope not though, it'd suck if 1 bitcoin was worth 1 million USD in 60 years & we don't get to enjoy that

satoshi doesn't need to let us hear something from him. bitcoin is already way further and much more mature than when he left. his coins are 'deleted' as in him no longer having the private keys or he will use his coins when he really need them.

No one can be sure if Satoshi is a man, woman, individual, or group, since there is no any definitive data about him. Perhaps he was already dead, or maybe he is looking this forum and joining with us to make posting here

Why is it sad? We can still appreciate "Satoshi". If people knew who he was they would likely just attack him. Satoshi knows who he is and can be proud of his achievement and how people are using it around the world and ihe wanted the plaudits he would reveal himself but either doesn't want that or cant (if he's dead).

Wow that is a strong statement to make. We do not live in a world where only men are allowed to think. I say this, but I know in some Muslim countries, women have no rights. I would just love it, if it was a women or a group of women, who came up with this idea.

Satoshi being a women in a man's world, would most certainly have failed. Why? Because of this kind of opinions.
There are many women behind successful men and they would have had a terrible time, trying to raise the kids and feed the family and still come up with wonderful ideas at the end of the day.

There are millions of successful mother's out there, who has done both. My wife is one of them.

Yeah, but it would be great if people do know the identity of Satoshi which his picture will be printed in history books, and be labeled as a revolutionary man in this century. van Gogh has passed away hundred years ago, but we still know his face because his identity was recorded in history books. I hope Satoshi will be like that

The sad thing is that he had to choose to rest in hiding because if he didn't, he would probably be a target of all the governments and banks and etc.. That's a sad thing, that we live in that age, that you can't even take a credit for the most revolutionary thing that you have invented.

I doubt he wouldn't stayed known to at least be recognized and acknowledged for his invention. However, he has decided and decided well in my opinion to rest in hiding.
