What caused it? I don't speak mandarin...

It seems to have been caused by a pipe bomb placed outside the Erawan Shrine - perhaps targeted for being a tourist attraction, or maybe somehow related to the anti-government protests from 2010: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/aug/17/bangkok-rocked-by-explosion-at-busy-road-junction.






To the best of my knowledge, that is an unrelated event.

it is Tianjin blast which happened on 12 Aug, not Bangkok blast which happened tonight
