Manchester United played excellently today, defensively they were very solid and Ajax couldn't find a way through, Valencia was amazing usual but Rashford was lacking though. But still we won and kudos to everyone.

Congrats to Man Utd on winning the Europa League final which most of us thought they would, however I was expecting Ajax to score a goal as both teams to score looked like a good bet to me but Man Utd's defense held up well and Ajax couldn't find a way through. Man Utd needed this win to qualify for the Champions League next season and they have done it.

Yup.  As a neutral I don't care if United played a bit dull in the finals.  It had to be done as playing in any other way would put them at risk more.  They have more to gain by playing the way they did even though it was, let's be honest, cowardly football.  Congrats United fans in the thread.  

Edit:  Oh and they're in a better position than Liverpool.  The win just boosted United’s European coefficient to let them qualify straight to the group stages of the CL.  No more playing in the final stage of the qualifications.

After watching Man United won the Europa League and qualifying for next year Champions League with this triump, I guess the big Premier League clubs will realise how important this competition is to them.
Now there are 6 teams in the League competing for Top 4 every season. Every season, there will be two teams losing out on Champions League during the next season. A Europa League win can be used as springboard to further glories as shown by Chelsea in 2012/2013 finals. The next year, Chelsea won the Premier League which shows how important winning any trophy is to the players.

Mourinho knows how to play finals he just sat back played 4-5-1 and were hoping for counter attacks. And he knew the young Ayax players lacked the experience to play at finals despite they were performing good holding the ball and trying to screate chances but Manchester United defence was hard to crack and they just didn't have a clue how to break that down.
And that first goal was just at it time for united. As when first Ajax lost possession on their own throw in and then an easy save turned into a goal thanks to that deflection. Guess that Mourinho plans gone the right way this time.
