The Academy currently offers three courses: Bitcoin 101 Course, Blockchain 101 Course, and Blockchain-based application course.
I would be incredibly interested to see what the scope of these three courses are and see if they cover more than the classes that are readily available online.
You can learn anything on the internet these days. It doesn't replace the interaction and social mobility that going to a course like this offers. For instance, many of the top universities offer their course content online, but you couldn't compare that to the one to one tutoring, lab work, social interaction that you get from actually physically being at a well respected establishment. I think it would be interesting to see whether more broader subject area's pop up that will appeal to bitcoin companies looking for talent such as Cryptography, distributed computing / networking etc.. it seems a good Computer Science student can focus on these kind of area's and will still be alot more useful than a guy who's completed a course in 'Bitcoin'
