The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Thanks for posting this. Great video, it should be required viewing.

Edit: maybe blockcypher was behind the attack.

(I am a 1MB block supporter who thinks all users should be using Full-Node clients)
Avoid the XT shills, they only want to destroy bitcoin, their hubris and greed will destroy us.

What massive attack? Someone dumped $5000 per day down the drain to prove that Bitcoin can in theory handle 200 tps. {Backlogged}

They most certainly did not bring Bitcoin to it's knees and in my view it was just a failed attempt to bump up transaction fee's or to promote bigger block sizes.

We will never know, who it was or what their intention was for sure, but it was not very successful.  If they want to throw money down the drain, let them do it.  Tongue
