Hi All Using this - http://nodes.p2pool.co/It comes up with the most efficient nodes, do i simply just direct my miners to the top three results regardless of the amount of miners on that node/hashrate speed of it ? Thanks Mine comes up with -  Thanks |

if you can, use more than 3 ...  if you can, use you're proper local P2Pool node (with complet Bitcoin Core in server mode) ...  if you have more than 1TH/s ... you can buy a recycled laptop to host an P2Pool node/Bitcoin Core server. It's only 12ko/s of Upload. |

Ideally you run your own node, local to the miners.
If that's not feasible, then nodes.p2pool.co offers up a decent list - but it also doesn't take every node into account. For example, OgNasty runs his p2pool node in Germany. I'm surprised it isn't on the list. Also, my own node doesn't ever show up on the list. I figure the nodes that don't show up are probably because we've set strict rules about what traffic we allow to reach the server.

It's only 12ko/s of Upload. Lol, i meant 3 as in main and failovers, i have about 17 Th. |

i use 5-6 when i test nodes of P2Pool (before really start my P2Pool node).
don't count on 1 node, it's madeness ... black hole on timing is hell.
sometimes, BFGminer switch every minute because nodes have lag to answer at time.
---
install an alone P2Pool node on a local machine, more stable than a remoted node.

Think that's way over my head mate !!!! I have a spare PC that runs constant 24hr, but would not have a clue...... I have always used remote nodes and http://europe.p2pool.co/static/ has BEEN brill for months with around 120% above average mining power and payouts always above the 0.3-0.5 BTC mark...... He has done something to the 'set up' and payouts are tiny 0.0XXXX ? Miner power down to 80% !!!! and DOA 20% (was 0-1%)  ? I also use his backup pool - http://backup.p2pool.co:9332/static/ and EVERY it has switched to this i LOOSE all predicted BTC which has NEVER happened before..... I need to sort something out as this has been happening since the start of the month and i have emailed him and he did say he made changes then..... Cheers |

If you've got a spare PC you can run your own p2pool node. Or, you could try out OgNasty's node (it's in Germany): nastyfans.org.

He has done something to the 'set up' and payouts are tiny 0.0XXXX ? Miner power down to 80% !!!! and DOA 20% (was 0-1%) ? I see they are using the XT client - maybe that's got something to do with it? Not sure what the message "We support the community and so we are now running the latest version of bitcoin XT. Please point your miners only to nodes running Bitcoin XT." on his website means exactly, does that mean I no longer support the community then? Edit: I'd better remove him from my backup list then...... |

Cheers switched them and finally after weeks i have had a decent payout off 0.259 !!!! Instead off pool off/on,losing payouts or getting 0.06 etc everytime.... He has closed his pools now.... Cheers guys,back on track,just hope BTC price rises !!! |
