Hello everyone,
I mine only with my CPUs.
Is there some currencies with whom I have advantage to CPU mine ? Is there some currencies where CPU mine is possible and GPU mine is impossible ? Is there some currencies where CPU mine is more effective than GPU mine ?
I tried DASH and DigitalNote : - with DASH (X11) I'm about 100 time slower than the others in the pool (they use GPU mine, I think), - with Digital Note (Cryptonote), the ratio looks better but not much :-(.
Any ideas ?
Thank you :-).

Supposedly, Coin magi. Also, there's a proof-of-work with a $500 bounty for disproving that CPUs are more effective.

Cryptonote is not harder to mine by GPU, but it's more expensive. If you have a CPU with AES support you'll get around same hashrate as with a medium/weaker GPU. And GPU use to be more power hungry and breaks up more easily. Magi is indeed a pretty good choice, though it's not easy to mine and the reward is not great unless you indeed like the coin and keep it. I mined at some point DNC and converted it all. It was a rather unknown coin and the mining was more profitable than for other coins. But that coin is rather dead now so yeah, I also need to mine something, but for now I better sit and wait for the summer to end. Cheaper this way So for now, Magi or .. just don't waste the power on mining.

Somes of my CPUs have AES/AESni support, some oters haven't. Those who have AES/AESni support are the more powerfull of my CPUs.
I'll take a look about magi and DNC :-).

DNC would be wasted time. The stars need to be alligned in a certain way to actually have a pool working and accepting you If you have AES/AESni you can even take a look at mining XMR. Good luck!

I tried XMR : it is very slow (and actually probably too expensive electricity) I'll try magi. Thank you. Any other coin idea ?

GlobalBoost-Y is based on YeScrypt, which will be CPU-friendly pretty much forever. BST-Y is a bit slow lately; I don't think it's profitable right now but you might want to try it.
There are GPU miners for yescrypt but my understanding is they're barely competitive.

I tried Magi :-). It's a very interesting currency, just for CPU mining. The biggest Miner of the 150 miners in the pool is "only" 8,5 times bigger than me. After 24 h of CPUmining with my Haswell Core i5, I earn 2 Magi. Magi is at a little less than 4000 satoshis. Then, 2 magis equal 8000 satoshis : it does not pay the electricity :-(. If Magi price grow up, it is a good currenci for us, CPU Miners.
For GlobalBoost-y, i read many sources since yesterday :-). Actually, there's competition between CPU and GPU mining : no chance for CPU mining :-(. And it is not offered on the most common exchanges :-(.
Thanks one more time for your ideas :-).

Give a try to www.minergate.com there you'll find some CPU minable Alt coins. But it'll be just dust. Minergate is one of the fiirst software that I used for mining, months ago... :-).

I highly recommend you to mine Bytecoin (BNC) or Monero (XMR), they are the most profitable to mine with CPU right now. Just don't use the minergate client. Use something like Claymore CPU and GPU miners. I'm making 0.5$ a day with Bytecoin and a FX-6300 CPU and R9 270 GPU, for a combined hashrate of 680 H/s

@iqlimasyadiqa Minergate is very usefull and simply, yes. I use it when i worh on a slow computer (CPU without AES). With these computer, the low hasrate is not good with the pools systems : no earnings. For the most powered computer, it's better to use specifics miners softwares (minerd) and a pool : the fees are lowers.
@btccashacc I'll take a look at ziftrcoin
@mookoid I'm mining BCN since many weeks and yes, this is the more benefic coin that I know, but its remain very little : with my CPU (Haswell Core i3 3 GHz), it's about 1000 BCN a day, 27000 satoshis... the same amount with a good faucet...
Thank you for all your advices.

CPU coins are not profitable due to botnet mining. You can easily get 10 good processors via botnet/RAT and profit. So mining with your own computer is useless nowadays.
