All Bitcoin XT topics should be removed from the Bitcoin subforum and moved here to altcoins.  XT is not bitcoin, it's an altcoin fork, and it should be treated as such.

Or create a new subforum called Bitcoin XT could be another solution. Besides name XT not sound very good of all, They should have picked a better name instead off "XT". I just say.

The alternative Bitcoin implementation, designed to force a hard fork in order to allow for bigger blocks is called Bitcoin XT, This new version was launched for Mike Hearn and Gavin Andresen this weekend. Some peoples consider that this could be an altcoin more.

I just read an article on cointelegraph that say:  Due to the controversial nature of Bitcoin XT, /r/bitcoin moderators have decided to ban all posts regarding Bitcoin XT, which in turn caused a major uproar within the Bitcoin community. So  We could  wait that happens.

Can someone explain what XT is in as fewest words possible, like 30 or 40.

The whole Bitcoin XT topic is totally overrated. The market will not decide for XT thus, the project is doomed to fail.

Bitcoin XT is a patch set on top of Bitcoin Core, with a focus on upgrades to the peer to peer protocol. The first goal is support for larger blocks more than Bitcoin.

They already are, and it's just leading to spam in the alt section.

Ofc there is an easy solution to this, make one thread dedicated to XT in the bitcoin section and let its supporters use that to discuss. Pushing things into the altcoin section just causes more spam overall.

It's pretty clear XT is going to fail, but deleting threads and posts just lead to more bullshit.

It's not a patch, it's a fork of the core code.  Looks more like an attempted hostile take over of the blockchain to me than anything.

Don't put the blockchain in the hands of two (well, one really) developers!
