"Just as Bitcoin’s block reward halved in the past, Litecoin will undergo the same same process on Tuesday, August 25th. In anticipation of the halving, the Litecoin Association says that it is a milestone in the cryptocurrency’s 4-year history."

Me to, I have both saved the mined ltc and bought some extra, hopefully the price will go up over time, don't think it will happen over one night

I think the lower influx of litecoin being directly traded for btc and fiat next will be good for both litecoin and bitcoin exchange rates.

I suspect that with the recent bitcoin controversy, LTC will be looking pretty good next week.  I could see it becoming more widely used than btc if the block size limit is not resolved.

But who knows for sure?  It will be interesting to say the least.  Makes me wish I bought more when I had the chance to get them cheap.

It just has to rise, if it doesn't rise it won't be profitable for me to mine it at home anymore. But like you said, who know :s

BTCe is the best place to buy LTC.  More volume, tighter spreads.

The price was higher before the halving . Everyone anticipated that the price was going to go up, but the new price was already saturated into the market like at least 1 month before the halving.
