Hey guys, I'm looking for any info regarding mobile wallets for Android - right now, the only app I have is TRIder (for triangles coin), which is a solid app but more geared towards trading.

As my phone is powered on longer than my PC, I'm curious if anyone knows of a good app to store some coins on mobile! If possible, keep it limited to Android Smiley

Thanks in advance!

Well, you could try these coins. They have a decent android wallet:

Casinocoin: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.casinocoin.wallet

ShadowCash : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.shadowcoin.shadowgo

Bitcoin (Coinbase) : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinbase.android

Peercoin : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matthewmitchell.peercoin_android_wallet

The ones listed above are the ones I already use and they've been working pretty well with me. Hope this helps  Cheesy

*Quick note - the Shadow one won't sync as there was a hard fork a few months back. They're working on an update.

I have the Triangles one also which is a cool app.  I have been wondering what coins had a decent wallet so this thread is very useful Smiley  think I will check out the Startcoin one, ideally an Android wallet that stakes would be extremely useful.

I was using this!  But the battery drain was horrendous - I know the devs are working on the matter, but I had to uninstall....

...now I'm re-installing...THANKS A LOT  Angry

Just kidding, I love the app.  I knew I couldn't stay away long  Wink

Mobile wallets make actually only sense when you can spend you coins somewhere. This holds for Bitcoin only so far.

GetGems has an in-build store where you can spend your Gems, once the attention economy rolls out the app will have an even greater way to spend where advertisers must pay the user directly with Gems for their attention, rather than paying the gatekeepers of a social network, like FB or Google.

True - but the store is extremely limited in what is possible to be purchased at the moment.  For how new the app is, though, it's pretty impressive  Grin

Coinomi Android wallet

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinomi.wallet

Supports Jumbucks ($JBS) and others.

Know nothing about jambucks, but the coinomi wallet is excellent. Supports several coins simultaneously.

NEM has an Android app on their testnet that works fine. Will probably begin public beta testing soon and then release to the Play store. It will be trustless and will have multisig notifications pushed to it and the multisig is cross platform so different third party apps on different platforms use the easy APIs. (Not just multisig but other things too).
