Another question - So, assuming I burn through my 300 freebie trial credit well before my trial ends, will it automatically use the 500 dollar credit right  away, or will it use my card or bank account until my trial expires, date-wise?

It will use all of the credit that's on your account before it charges you as long as the credit qualifies for the service.
