Coindice's issues and backdoors.

Feel free to post here any backdoor tht you think is present in coindice script. Recently coinwon, crimedice and others has been hacked AFAIK and bankroll cleaned , I would like people who are probably planning on buying the script to read this thread before buying the script.

Service discussion is the right board for it but I wonder why you made a self moderated topic? If you want people to have a free discussion on something which is serious then this should be a normal topic, this way it looks like you'll be able to delete replies according to your discretion.

Let it be a normal thread so there is equal chance for anyone to participate and post their opinion on the topic. And did you do some research on your own before putting up a thread which basically warns other to stop buying a script which might or not have some issues?

Couldn't find any thread that actually gives the details of these backdoors hence I created this thread, and maybe if they want to purchase even after they know it is buggy , they can fix the bugs themselves.

Well mate I steer clear of signature camp comments which I feel has no actual contribution to the discussion nowadays.
Well I think I did but I heard there were a lot of bugs, but no body was actually telling the nature of these bugs, or the exact details, and if you can call Google a research as well, I would be a big researcher.

I dont think its wise to run a casino/dice site with zero knowledge on coding. Im pretty sure they already know about the bugs in coindice scripts before purchasing it as it has been discussed here multiple times before. They took the risk as the script is cheap. Opening a casino is not an easy job as a wise knowledge and experience in the field is required. Looking at what happened to https://www.coinwon.com/dice should be suffient enough for those who want to use the same script in the future. Lesson learnt.

I haven't tried a script, but it seems there are many versions of the dice script out there. So some bugs will be in some and others may not be.

Also some of the sellers on the forum marketplace have assured of no bug to exist for their script, so buyers dont really have to be aware of the possible bugs if they buy from those sellers.

It was said in the coinwon thread that the admin used 'password' as his password. Coindice has had some issues, but it can't really be blamed for that.

I wouldn't say the script is bad, as it can always be used by an experienced coder to start with, and build upon it, along with correcting all the possible flaws. I think some of the sites, which are really big right now actually used that as the base to develope on.

Just to clear some air - I've reviewed the UPDATED and real coindice script. The one you actually pay for. It's solid. There were no backdoors or holes in it that I could find.

The issue arises from people using the horribly flawed copies that are available on github. Those are full of bugs and errors. But, people want to make a quick buck, think they got a good script for free, and then are hacked.

I don't think a person capable of installing a script is going to keep their password as 'password', seems like they stole the money instead.

Don't be so sure. There was a dice site here a few weeks/months ago that got hacked within hours of opening because the root password to the server was apparently Abcd123 - stripdice I think it was?

That probably was not the fault of the dice script, but of the owner who had set the password to be so predictable.

who cares, its better to avoid these sites that are using the old script because you are likely to end up getting disappointed.
