This looks like an exit scam...

Beware...

Maybe they lost their wallet password... they should sue.

Lets face it, we will loose everything. I lost many precious $ during that flash crash and this was just the beginning. I would sell all my coins now, but i lost my wallet password :-(

For me there is just one alternative, im going to sue them all:

1. Gavin: I will sue the shit out of him. He is responsible for this mess.
2. KwukDuck: I will sue him for pushing the price down by posting shit on bitcointalk...
3. Mount Gox: Even though i didnt have any coins at gox, fatty is still responsible for that major crash a few years ago. He destroyed our trust in bitcoin (dont deny it, you fool!)

Kind regards

Bitfinex seems to have quite a lot of problems in recent months. keeping an eye on things, glad to hear no funds has been lost though.

That has nothing to do with their cold wallet. From the looks of it the OP is just trolling.

What problems have they had recently? They had their hot wallet compromised several months ago, however they had sufficient capital to cover those losses. They have had some downtime, however every service has downtime every now and again for various reasons. I can think of two instances of short periods of downtime that bitfinex has had in recent months, now being one of them.

If you are referring to the recent flash crash, then that is not an issue because the order that caused it was a legit order intentionally done by a customer who should have been able to sell the amount of bitcoin they did sell.

I was referring to the hot wallet compromise and the downtimes, nothing else Smiley  It's not overly worrying but it seems like once something goes amiss for Bitcoin companies, they hit a streak of "bad luck" all of a sudden.

Then again, there is no major issue yet, so maybe I'm just connecting dots a bit too eagerly Smiley
