As these cards are still missing at the moment at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison maybe someone who has one of these GPUs could run some quick tests? Expected would be something in the 100-150MH/s range. The reason why I'm interested is, that these cards are also available as passive versions, so with a silent fan, these should be able to run 24/7 at much better noise levels than some of the hairblowers out there. Really great would also be power draw (measured via a "Kill-a-watt" or similar wall plug devices), but hash rate is priority #1 for me atm. Thanks for any data, let the testing begin!

When looking at 80 MH/s for a 6570 @650 MHz, a 800 MHz 6670 should be doing 100 MH/s (it seems like they can only be overclocked to 900 MHz leading to a max. hashing performance of ~ 110 MH/s)
At a consumption of ~80-90W per hour this leads to:
Hashrate stock: 100 MH/s Hashrate overclocked: 110 MH/s Watts stock: 80W (est.) Watts overclocked: 90W (est.) Price active cooled: ~70 EUR Price passive cooled: ~80 EUR
Ratios for overclocked versions: MH/EUR passive: 1.6 MH/EUR active: 1.4 MH/Watt: 1.2
For comparison a 170 EUR 5870 at 400MH/s and 200W has: MH/EUR: 2,35 MH/Watt: 2
But is much louder and bigger on the other hand...

Passively cooled cards are always more expensive. You pay a premium for silence in the computer world.

6670 is pointless, you can get same performance out of a overcloked 6570.

Do you own such a card to make this statement or is this just a guess?
It's just that there is no data yet on these cards but there are passive versions available that might be interesting for some folks. I highly doubt that they will be the most efficient or cheap cards, but maybe they could be the most silent GPUs useful for mining.

I know its a old post but its the first one that comes up when searching 6670 hash rate in google. Iv got a gigabyte stock oc edition, at 820mhz pumps out 105mh/s Can over clock to 905mhz (920 gives artifacts) which works fine in games and pumps out 127mh/s but throws a vpu restart error with in 20mins all the way down to 880mhz. So have to run 875mhz which pumps out 119mh/s.
So quite disappointed in the card. But oh well only cost me $150nzd including postage. And the options were limited since this is my GF's computer and only has 300W PSU and has to remain silent since its in the bed room. And its only drawing 209W full load.

That's about $125 USD. In which case you were royally ripped off. A 5770 achieves 200mhash/s easily and they cost $79 these days, plus it's faster in games

I have a 6670 (800MHz version) running at 900MHz and I'm getting ~105mhash/s using poclbm.

A 5770 achieves 200mhash/s easily and they cost $79 these days, plus it's faster in games Shipping was $25 Local stores were wanting $210 for it. 5770 went over the max power of the PSU and I cant swap in a larger one, The cheapest national store charges $180 for 5770 here. My budget was only $160 and main use for the card is to play sims and watch videos since the on board just doesn't cut it. So the cards in my price range that were available came down to 5670 and 6670 Took the 6670 since its got more SP and a higher texture fill rate. I have a 6670 (800MHz version) running at 900MHz and I'm getting ~105mhash/s using poclbm.
You should be getting more then that. Get the 3% faster modded one from the newbie section. then use options -v -w 256 Under clocking the memory on this card didn't have any effect.

It only consumes about 100 watts while mining :| Literally any 250w+ desktop PSU can run it with a single molex connector Ignore what the box says, that's just an extremely cautious recommendation for the entire system it even says on the 6990 you need a 750W psu when it consumes 375W

They're not the same SP's. Efficiency for mining for the 6xxx series is a bit lower IIRC. Even with the 3% bonus and such, a 900MHz (over 800MHz) 6670 won't push much past 110mhash/s

My 5670 (been doing BOINC Collatz and DNETC at 1000/300 for more than a year before I switched it to bitcoin mining) is at 975 core/300 mem, if you can get that 6670 above 950 stable, Im sure you can get past 125MH/s.

Even with the 3% bonus and such, a 900MHz (over 800MHz) 6670 won't push much past 110mhash/s Even if the hash rate per SP is not the same, considering that the 6670 have 80 SPs more than the 5670, the total hash rate difference will be more than 10MH/s. If we were comparing a 4000 and 5000 series, the hash rate per SP difference is almost 2x. The difference in hash rate per SP between the 5000 and 6000 series (excluding the 5700 and 6700 series, same cards but tweaked a little) is very small.

It adds up tho. 2mhash/s on this computer, 4 more on my one, 2 more on my server. So thats 8 more i wouldnt of other wise had. You might not want to have a faster speed but if I had a lot of pcs it could really stack up.
