I believe best way to make money online is just real goods trading. Buying low, producing in someway and selling high.
And I think second best option is creating online video content. It may be video games or mobile apps it does not matter. If you reach enough consistent supporters, you make money.
To be trader you have to first obtain goods you want to sell, and it is not 'pure' online presence, since you are selling real stuff.
Secondly, do you know how much people are creating gaming videos or mobile apps? And you need to be quite skilled to be able to do it on a level when people would like to watch your videos. If you are mediocre youtube or script kiddie, you are not going to earn much, if anything.

Trading is good way to get more profits but finding quality products or service providers is very difficult or unless if you have a talent then surely can make more money. If you depend on another person then surely you may fail soon or later. I also see lot of opportunities in producing video contents for people or businesses. Many people are looking for quality videos for their businesses.

I have been interested in the various ways there are of making money on the internet. From the GPT/PTC sites to others like swagbucks.com, I have been earning money online since 2009. At the time, I was still skeptical of making money online at all to begin with yet so Bitcoin was out of the question. Now from what I see the best methods involve bitcoin. Today, finding a job writing or programming or something similar online in exchange for bitcoin seems to be the way to go these days. What do you do to earn extra income online?

One of the best way to make money online is to sell stuff online.  Take out your old items, be it clothes, toys, furniture, and sell them online.

why not working freelancer sites for things like work into digital the full8 hours can get you a bit more than just BTC. like freelancer.com

Odesk also pays great for people who have established portfolio on their online careers and who are looking for a full-time online job. I have some friends working on it and as I can see it, the salary is enough to pay for their everyday expenses and monthly bills. Seeing that it can pay for everything they need, they can allocate a percentage of that salary in buying bitcoins if they want to have some investment.

Odesk has been renamed as upwork.
There are lot of freelancing sites which offers great earning potential across many skill set. Now a days people can get paid in bitcoin which would be more convenient for those who keenly earning bitcoin. Freelance jobs are best way to make online living.

I don't know but the name 'Odesk' has been stuck in my mind since I first worked for it. I remember being a part-time customer support for an electronics firm that is based in Singapore (and I'm from the Philippines). 5 hours of work gives me $60 a day, and also depending on how many customers have I served for that certain day. It is a great place to work in, only if there is a similar site which is more established and more people who want to hire freelancers in exchange of bitcoin.

Yes if one doesn't have a particular skill, selling your own used stuff online as Quinn said is something many people don't even consider. We all have plenty of stuff we don't really need and eBay, Craiglist (or the local/regional equivalent) are flooded with eager buyers.

just wait for open bazar this would be the best place to increase your selling, right now we are only limited to this forum because ebay is against bitcoin

with open bazar selling stuff for bitcoin directly, will be the first serious way to earn bitcoin directly, a real business, like with ebay

The best way to make a living online is to start your own business. Find a niche/audience and funnel through the most efficient Cost/Profit product you can properly present Smiley
Secondarily you can work as a customer service agent for many renown companies around the world.

I'm not sure selling something online is the easiest way to make money! Unless it's a digital good, because physical goods require a lot of physical effort to handle an online sale.
One of the easiest ways is to write, blog, post, GPT.
