BitShares - Just the Facts Thread
At the real launch, the big gold-rush excitement will be about signing up new users since those who do will receive up to 80% of the lifetime fees generated by every user they sign up. (So you can get a share of the blockchain's profits without owning any of the BitShares yourself.)
We've been getting alot of people saying that this is a classic pyramid scheme. It's not. New users give fees to the users before them. This is more of a ponzi scheme then a pyramid scheme, People. Jeesh. But the good news is that with BTSX 3.0 we will be merging the brownie chain with the other chains. By diluting your shares we hope to make everyone more rich. Note: if you tweet this post, we will give you brownie points 2.0 for your effort. TLDR. GIVE US YOUR MONEY, SIGN YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY UP TO GIVE US THEIR MONEY AND YOU WILL BE RICH WITH BTSX 3.0

Guess Coinbase is a scam too, with their referrals lol. Some people just try too much. I pity you.

Stratis: Same supply as Ethereum + Masternodes + ICOs + Bitcoin a Core Dev. 90% cheaper than Eth. Do the math.

Here's a great place to go to hear bytemaster and a variety of other entrepreneurs interact with the global community about their projects. Think of it as recorded press conferences where anyone can attend and ask questions.

But we've already had this conversation. I'm the marketer and you're the tester. If I'm not allowed to market then there is no use for me. Ok people. We have some really great videos that explain why you should be buying my stuff. The new systems about to come out and I need to pay my tester and I need some dental work to shine up that award winning smile.TLDR. I'm going to make you richer then BobbySurplus

I like this, much more refreshing stance than the usual 'my coin goes to the moon your coin sucks' attitude we have here. Not saying I am not guilty of that particular flaw either

Not quite. Two Ethereum and two BitShares aces in a free-lance play. Small community. Point is, there are lots of opportunities to grow the industry by cooperation rather than fudslinging.

Here is the definitive scoop on Identabit.com - John Underwood does a 90 minute news conference. Consider the depth of thinking this represents. And the raw horsepower John brings to the table. Then consider your favorite meme coin and ask whether you want to play in the major leagues or not.

I'll admit I had little interest in the project until I listened to this. +5%
That was one of the best hangouts I have ever heard. John Underwood really laid out some very valid points regarding identabit and bitcoin.
I'm glad to hear there will be several follow up mumble sessions with john.

Identabit is an abomination imo. I thought someone calling Dan Larimer "the great satan" was a joke at first.

I agree about Identabit, it's kind of like the "anti-BitShares". "You pick the blue chain - you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You pick the red chain - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." +5%. ....excellent interview. Greatly enjoyed hearing Mr Underwood's. Insightful perspective on block chain tech and executing a workable plan to succeed. After listening to the interview I feel identabit is in fact addressing a number of bitshares critical blind spots that I've been concerned about. Based on this conversation would seriously consider a further investment in the project if the opertunity becomes available. It looks to me like identabit has the perfect combination bitshares' great technology and John's proven ability to market and execute.
Thank you Fuzzy for getting him on.

Just import the keys from the wallet(s) you donated from into your BitShares wallet and ... poof! Ask for tech support on bitsharestalk.org if you want details.

Users, especially ones on this forum, need to get over individual "chains" and start thinking about what apps or services can be built upon the blockchains.

So far there have been 54,838 operations published on the test network and I can reindex the blockchain in 50 seconds (greater than 1000 operations per second) completely ignoring the fact that the test network has 100x as many maintenance blocks as it should. In my profiling I see that 92% of the reindexing time is un perform_chain_maintenance which means that we are currently processing ~15K operations per second on average. Given that the vast majority of blocks are empty the time spent doing empty block processing is lowering the average TPS by a significant margin. Great work for everyone who has helped publish over 50K transactions on this test network so far
