Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hmm, really weird, I see your hashrate between 40-42 MH/s for the last 48h counting out invalids etc. I also have some short rounds where no shares at all seem to be submitted... Looks almost as if diff is too high..

Can you point the miner again to suprnova ? Preferrably to another server this time ? If you were on eth-mine.suprnova.cc before, try eth-us.suprnova.cc now. I'd like to see what those invalids are, but I'd have to check that directly in the stratum's log. PM or send me the Workername so I'll add a focus on it. And also send me your ETH address so I can chip some over for all this Smiley

Well, I tried resetting the pin password, never received an email, so I went to trying 2 more times then it permanently locked me out of my account.
Says I will receive email unlocking instructions but I never did. I was hoping to point 500-750MH of mining power to this pool, but didn't go the way I'd expected.

I've just unlocked your account, you can log in again. If you're still having trouble just sent me a PM or Mail.

Have fun mining !

Hmm, you can try:

eth-apac.suprnova.cc (ASIA)
eth-us.suprnova.cc (US)
eth-mine.suprnova.cc (EU)

If the ping is still to high, let me know and I'll look for a .ru node

stratum pool

1. coinotron ( the best charges, but high ping 130-150 ms . almost corresponds to the calculator)
2. http://dwarfpool.com/eth ( a small ping of 50-70 ms , less calculator by 5-10%)
3. ETH.suprnova.cc  Shocked ping 150-170ms speed - (-20-30%)

There is no "real" stratum yet - the miner itself doesn't support it Smiley

There are several proxys, some are python based and use sockets for transport, the others are golang based and use http requests for transport.

It's your personal preference what you use, those proxys make no difference in payouts, reliability or whatever.
Suprnova supports this "stratum" proxy on all ports: https://github.com/sammy007/ether-proxy

Try every pool for a few days and stay with the one you like most, it's usually that easy Smiley

aha, i see. I see my hashrate was not stable, sometimes down to 7 mh/s and sometimes up to 40 mh/s lol but still think average was around 20-22 mh/s so i was looking for a stable setting. Anyway thanks OC, you rock  Smiley

Ah okay, this sounds like you might be getting some invalids, make sure you don't push it too hard and also look in the logfile for "GPU GAVE INCORRECT RESULT!" (or something similar) which would explain the fluctuations.

Thanks ! Smiley

Bumping the Bonus to 15 % for today Smiley

Nice !
When it comes to bonuses, more is always more better.

I've been using the proxy for about 48 hours now and thought I would report on my experience. My little farm includes a windows 10 rig with 2 r9270x, a windows 10 rig with one r9270x, and an ubuntu rig with 2 r9280x.  I run the proxy on one of the windows machines.  Before using the proxy, my ubuntu rig was suffering from a few occasional JSON RPC errors I could never figure out; those seem to have disappeared, perhaps since it now communicates with a machine just a few feet away.....  The windows machines were working smoothly and continue to do so.

The proxy does provide a very nice monitor and I can see for the first time the number of rejects and fails per worker and overall, numbers that ethminer does not provide directly.  Aside from being sweet eyecandy, that's useful in tuning up the miners.  I think my overall results are the same,  maybe a tiny bit better with the proxy, but the difference is so small it can be attributed to variance or network changes.  Without the same reject and fail data from before using the proxy it's hard to make a direct comparison.

The proxy takes a little effort to install, but provides more info, nice monitoring, and in my case somewhat better communications with suprnova......

270x gets me about 16-17mhs
290x around 21-22
I don't overclock and things are nice and stable.

@ocminer:  your bonuses are having a much bigger impact on my returns than the proxy !
thanx.
