Donating Bitcoin to Charities Is On the Rise

Charities are typically welcoming towards all kinds of donations, in money and in kind. Acceptance of bitcoin donations has been steadily on the rise for several years already, with more and more charities accepting the cryptocurrency both at events and on websites.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Positive news thankfully. After the article insinuating that adding a Bitcoin option would result in a drop in overall donations, this is refreshing.

Some more positive news showing how bitcoin can solve many of today's problems like the example given where the charity could not accept foreign currencies.

Reading something like this also makes you realise just how uninformed the general public and businesses for that matter, really are when it comes to bitcoin so its good to see them being 'converted'. Others will notice and this will hopefully drive adoption even more.

One clear advantage bitcoin has over fiat when it comes to these charitable donations are the micro transactions. Try sending $5 from your bank to a charity, will most probably end up costing you $15 to do so.
