Bitcoin can have a great future in india if there are people or a group that is willing to campaign for the use of digital currency, and the good things from the use of digital currency.
And this is not only for India but for the whole country that people do not know about digital currency and also benefit from its use

Most people are mobile in inda.

And if that means new areas of commerce to happen because of internet + bitcoin that means more transactions. Its not just good for india only, its good for all countries.

Esp developing ones that have a hard time sending money.

Well it does make sense.

As for the part where very few know about it. I mean if you walk outside and ask your neighbor what bitcoin is, most chances are he/she never even heard about it.

So why would another country be any different lol.

In my view India has a very great future for Bitcoins, because technology wise in India their are peoples who can live without food but cannot live without Tv and Mobile Phones, so when they come to know about Bitcoins, and in india online market is going very vast

If the Online Company start to use the Bitcoin Payment Option then it is sure that with a span of time most ofthe Indians will come to know about Bitcoins and Alt coins. Then you can see that how the market of Bitcoins is going to boom in India. So now it is the time to lay the Base of Bitcoins which will fetch them very good returns in future.

What you said is true as of now many indian people do not have knowledge of bitcoins but only few people who into online money making programs they only know about it. Reason is as for as I know no big company or service provider are accepting bitcoin as a payment hence many people are not knowing it.

That's true big companies are aware about the bitcoins and they are already using it, but our goal is that the every individual should be aware about the bitcoins, as the individual adoption can make the difference, but when it comes to India I don't think that many would be aware about it as many of them are not tech savvy and that's the reason India is behind in the adoption of bitcoins.

India is pretty regulated, and a bit leftist.

But also there are zones there where people trade freely without much restrictions. I think in these zones bitcoin could become a bartering currency.
