None of the messages you shared even hint at the reason why they closed your account, let alone mention Bitcoin.

I think you need to give us more proof that Google shutdown your wallet due to bitcoin transactions. It seems REALLY unlikely that using a Google wallet to buy Bitcoin would be a reason for them to shut you down. They're not in the business of stifling options, creativity or innovation...in fact they are a business that operates under the opposite objective. Plus, Google sits in the heart of Silicon Valley, one of the central locations for Bitcoin success!

No. Google doesn't have a competing currency, they have an account and payments system. If Google feels they're losing fiat business to bitcoin they can allow bitcoin to be one of the currencies people can transact with. It's synonymous to PayPal...it's agnostic of currency choice.

The funny thing is I spoke with support before a few months ago and specifically asked them if I could use google wallet to sell bitcoin.
They said yes, and referenced this page.

10 minutes after this conversation I received an e-mail saying my wallet card was suspended.
5 minutes after that e-mail I got another saying my entire account is closed.

Google is a spying, lying, cheating bastard of a company. Any dealings you do with them should never be considered secure or private. You probably shouldn't have had your wallet closed, but you should have had your butt spanked for making a Google wallet account anyway.

Anyway, it's over now. Just go to Paypal instead.

Solo mining is alive and profitable!

Just go to Paypal instead.

They annoy me also Tongue

All payments I receive on my PayPal account are currently subject to a 21 day hold before I can withdraw (unless its from a friend) as a 'security measure'

Strange how things work... Bing incorporate Bitcoin payments if you use it and Google ban you if you use it. They are known to work closely with the spy agencies in America, so I do not use them at all.
In one of the Vice documentaries about North Korea, they visited a IT centre and people were sitting in front of computers, looking busy. The one guy had the Google search page open, but he was just staring at the page.

It's ironic how they would use that to try and fool the American basketball team that visited them. The company that collect all your activity and passing it on to the American agencies.

Well this is what happens when  you are dealing with the centralized company that has a power to decide if you did something right or wrong and can take sides as they wish.

Luckily, this doesn't exist with Bitcoin. Nobody can come and close your wallet for this or that reason. Lets just give it time, when people around the world see the difference between dealing with centralized against decentralized, sky will be the limit.

Right. I only use Google for its search engine and email service and nothing else. For online payments and transactions, I only limit my use to bitcoin because PayPal and VISA screwed me several times over back then and I only lost money from my transactions because of the hassles that I encounter on using their service (the 21-day hold period of funds that you received from someone that isn't in your circle is true, screw you, Pp) whereas in bitcoin, I don't encounter such a thing. No one can actually close my wallet for some reasons they could think of because I am the sole owner of it.

Well this is what happens when  you are dealing with the centralized company that has a power to decide if you did something right or wrong and can take sides as they wish.

They can take any sides they want as they wish, provided that it was indicated in their ToS. They can put literally almost anything they want in there, without you even knowing it. And you can do so much about it, because you're just a user in their platform.

Luckily, this doesn't exist with Bitcoin. Nobody can come and close your wallet for this or that reason. Lets just give it time, when people around the world see the difference between dealing with centralized against decentralized, sky will be the limit.

Totally agree. Freedom is here in bitcoin, the problem is that because of the freedom that you have in bitcoin, some nasty users tend to take advantage of that.

Have there been cases of Google holding peoples funds for months without any specified reason?
Happened a lot with Paypal accounts.

No payment processor wants to shut down accounts. They're forced to cover their arse by the avalanche of G men breathing down their necks. Moan to your local politician, not them.

No, they are not. They are known for being pretty transparent about their activity and opposing US-government as good as they can.
This FUD about Google is ridiculous. As far as I remember, there was even evidence when Sony e-mails got leaked, that Sony started a PR-campaign against google.

Unfortunately if you are running multi million dollar company of that caliber you need to be lying and cheating. There is no way of honest business when you need to please people and government at the same time.
Google is just being cautious about potential fraudulent accounts, that is perfectly understandable. But saying that paypal is better is a bit too much.

Paypal returned a payment that neither I or the customer wanted to happen and then refused the payment when the customer tried again to pay me. They then locked the account. They can go for a running jump and I hope their gonads get infested with fire ants.

Then I went with Google. Was happy with them for a while but they changed their service from Google <whatever>to Google Wallet Digital Downloads. Was a bit miffed but transitioned with a bit of effort.

Then they shut down Wallet digital downloads and there was no longer a service I could use with them. I'm now with Stripe. Very happy with Stripe. 7 days and your money is in your bank account. Cheaper fees than Google were. They will even act as a Bitcoin payment processor for you so I doubt they are anti bitcoin; although I don't need that service. Sweet web interface too. Been with them for 1 year without any problems.
