Is there any particular reason why the 50GB+ blockchain is stored per user? or the settings in bitcoin.conf.
I would imagine that the blockchain and the bitcoin settings are global for all users, therefore should not be stored in per user data folders.
As I see it atm, each user who runs armory will create a new +50gb file.

Instead of storing them in the per user home folders, they should be stored in %programdata% which is a global data location.

You can always set the data directory manually by yourself.

All your posts are complaining about default features, which is what auto bitcoind management is meant for. If you learn how to use Armory you can easily come up with a very specific setup suiting your needs. But do not expect the default one size fit all setting to accommodate that.

I believe that the reason why bitcoin stores its block per user instead of per computer is to make the system more trust free. Imagine that you are on a system where you trust the administrator, but not the other users. If another user messed with the blockchain files it could mess up your balance or transaction history. As long as proper filesystem permissions are in place, they won't be able to mess you up with the current default configuration.
