When you are looking at your receiving addresses. Are all those addresses valid? As in, can any one of those addresses be given to someone to accept some bitcoins?

Thanks in advance

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

By default, the client displays a new receiving address for you each time you receive BTC at one of your other addresses. This is for your benefit in case you prefer that it not be obvious to others on the network how much BTC is going into your balance. But like mewantsbitcoins said, all the receiving addresses in your wallet remain valid, and some people prefer to keep all their BTC at one receiving address.
