Yes, no doubt it is a dead coin but this enormous pump today gave it some attention today (Its rank also increased to 23 on coinmarket cap  )  and few newbies might invest in it at such a high price and will cry rest of the life. If you look at the volume, It  will only take less than a bitcoin to move it back to 1 Sat.

Blockchain of Aurumcoin at the moment is moving very slowly.

The problem was block 1092186, someone very (smart) applied a lot of hashpower to the network and difficulty went up over 1G, so the time until next block is found takes very long.
Then that guy switched his miner away from AU and difficulty stayed high until block 1092191. Aurumcoin ajusts difficulty every 2 Blocks.

Now difficulty at block 1092192 is still about 342M, currently i am trying to bring that down to the level it was before, about 20-70Million then mining and chain will be normal and transactions will be confirmed.

This will take some time, but i am very optimistic.

So that coin is not dead or abandoned.
